Given my building track record, I’m afraid not. I have hankered for this kit for a long time (ever since AFV Club released it) because I’m a real fan or modernized vehicles (big IDF fan), but my skill level isn’t to the point where I could build this. I have tried to build 2 other AFV Club kits (sIG 33 and SdKfz 251/1) and found they were more difficult than they looked in the box. I have no idea if I’ll ever get around to tackle this one,
Another nice piece from Paul at Red Zebra. 10 pieces of pristine, blemish free resin casting. The PA specific bits are all drop on pieces so you can build this relative “clean”, only the load at the top of the steering yolk is integral. A clean bike only version also available. This is going to be part of a smouldering TET '68 dio idea I have on the go.
This gem arrived from Canada today! Thank you @DennisatAutoloader for making these decals for my Grizzly build! At first look they seem amazing and I cant wait to apply them!
100% recommended.
Thanks! Yes, on page 6 of the instructions, parts C38 are really C15s. Page 7 part J52 is really D22. Page 8 parts J3 & J4 are really parts J4 & J3. The main gun barrel was a super loose fit. I mixed up some tiny styrene sprue parts from the kit into an old almost empty liquid cement jar to make a gooey paste to cement the barrel in. It worked great. The hole for the MG is too small. I drilled it out. The periscopes are finiky. Many parts are surface mounted with no locater pins and very little contact area. But overall I really like the kit!
More books ! This time from David Doyle, with these four I’ve completed my Concord collection. If you’re looking for out of print titles check him out, he’s currently inventorying a large purchase of old stock and I believe he also purchased all remaining Ampersand inventory. Worth a look https://daviddoylebooks.com/
