Osprey Publishing sent me this one to review and it showed up today.
Today the fancy liquid cement bottle holder arrived.
The “Comes Pre-assembled” how ironic…one leg was still attached.
Nothing superglue won’t fix.
Looks nicer than the homemade bottle holder
Funny - I kinda like the look of the home-made one! Just needs a few bent nails sticking out at odd angles…
Reminds of the dude in Tron.
That’s pretty cool, I don’t know how you got on their review list but I’m impressed. If I were to ever get on David Doyle’s review list I’m sure I wouldn’t last long, he lost credibility with me when I thumbed through his publication “M113 in Vietnam”, the decriptive capions are hillarious considering he’s supposed to be an armor expert. There are several photos of different APC’s with “some type of early angular sheild on the commander’s cupola” . . . seriously?
I’m sorry, I know I’m on a rant, but stating the obvious in the photo captions such as he does in let’s say “M551 Sheridan-Walk Around” is discourageing. I’m sure someone will defend his publications, but should we lower our expectations to appease the author.
Give 'em hell Harv, don’t let mediocrety become an acceptable standard!

This arrived today for my 1/72 A4 group Dio build.
The E100 128mm Flak40.
I would like to try and do a contents review and let people see in detail exactly what you get in this box as in my opinion it’s very impressive.
…I wish I could post a picture of Gecko’s Bedford MWD here, but I’m still waiting it to arrive(close to 3 months now)…
Today I received a Big Ed for Tamiya’s Early StuG III.
I’ve already built one
2 years ago for the Eastern Front Campaign, but there are more to be build (someday)…
Besides- the PE frames from Eduard’s StuG III Schuerzen set are a most welcomed addition to my PE-leftovers box
Cheers,
Angel
One can never have enough StuGs if you ask me.
Oooo, nice Angel another British truck, of sorts. The enclosed Bedford OY version is on my wishlist
Oh, yes Peter!
But I’ll build it Under New Management as a DAK Windwagen.
I’m also eyeballing ICM’s newly cast Leyland Retriever(so called Early)- it is totally wrong for what’s written on the box, but it’s a good starting point for building a true Early Ret.
Cheers,
Angel
And what’s the point of having a Big Ed without the kit it is destined for?!?
Fresh Sunday purchase from my LHS:
The Frühe will need some rework to convert it to late autumn 43 MIAG or Alkett vehicle though, but nothing too difficult- just need to source an Atak MIAG’s/Alketts zimm, a commander cupola protection and see whether I have the corresponding reg. number left in my Star Decal’s Eastern Axis Stug’s decal set, or need to source a new one.
Cheers,
Angel
This came in the mail today!
Thank you so much @Armor_Buff Wade!!
Im not sure which to build first… any suggestions?
Oooh yah I almost forgot this came from Hobby lobby.
You must be rollin in the dough. Nice haul.
Holy moly, what a haul !
Direct from TamiyaUSA shipped for $75
Both Aber PE and metal gun barrels.
Pretty happy with that deal.
I just received another kit, I ordered recently:
Czechoslovakian T-55A was the base vehicle for the BLG-60M-2 AVLB I’m finishing right now in Unfinished Business 2021 Group Build:
I wish MiniArt offered it 2 years ago- when I started my conversion- but at least now I have it.
Cheers,
Angel
I hope MiniArt offers, a T-55 as a AVLB!
