Like how the commenters said a “World War II M1 Abrams Tank”.
Love me some leopard!
Since I haven’t had much bench time I’ve had time to buy kits. This came in a few deliveries from Ebay and BNA.
Most of the Russian vehicles will be made into Ukranian ones. I have a few update sets from SP Designs coming for the 2S3 (corrected turret) and the BMP-2.
The BTR-80A is going to be made into a Hungarian ISAF version with the yellow stencils (decal set on the way).
Looks like a lovely feast for the Baytraktor!

@jekrott Hi Ed, how does the Border Models Leo 2 A5/A6 look? Interested in your first impressions? Thank you.
Just going through it now,but i really like what im seeing.Everything is crisp in detail and looks like it will be a great kit.Hopefully i will start it this coming weekend. But it looks really good!
An oldie but a goodie!
I want to try my hand at figures and dioramas so…
As best I can tell, female figures in 1/35 are rather rare. While I can sculpt bodies with some confidence, faces still give me trouble in this small scale. The ‘Death Angels’ set, while super dumb, contains four decent female faces and two decent female bodies. With some work, I hope to convert them into civilians.
The ICM kit contains yet another Russian nurse with a pleasant face for the ambulance diorama I want to build. The other figures in the set have good male faces.
ICM kits, with stiff inner boxes, survive shipping in a padded envelope rather well. The Master Box kit, with a much lighter weight box, was also shipped in a padded envelope and crushed in transit. Fortunately, the parts survived intact.
I already have one pz.iv from miniart in the stash but the kit is sooo good that i have bought another one.
This for the C3 campaign. I need an easy build soon - I hope this is it…
I also picked up the Zvezda T-62.
If I did not already have a bazillion Panzer IV hull machines in the closet, I would probably purchase one of those Miniart kits.

What is the C3 Campaign?
…
Despite my vow to stop filling the closet, I keep filling the closet.
In this case, the purchase really was justified. I usually avoid Trumpeter (and Hobbyboss) kits for many reasons. At the top of the list, their models always seem to have fundamental dimensional issues. Fixing small stuff is easy but stretching an entire vehicle 8mm here and 5 mm there sucks. Fixing incorrect armor angles is really tough. I do not want to reward any company that cannot manage basic model design.
Trumpeter also puts vinyl in practically every vehicle kit. Rubber is a volatile molecule. In time, it always breaks down. Replacing that junk adds $20 US or more to the price of a kit. You need to sell your stuff really cheap to make up for that handicap versus other models.
This Canadian LAV-III includes both problems–fundamental dimensional issues involving hull angles and vinyl tires. Under normal circumstances, I would not look twice at this kit. However, a very nice person sold it to me for $15.35 including tax and shipping. At that price, this becomes a very good practice model and I can experiment with casting the tires. Also, I want to try my hand at some modern stuff.
Hmmm.
That’s about all that kit is worth. I’m building it right now and we aren’t friends.
This arrived recently.
Its an ambitious project but Im looking forward to building it. Got the Shapeways front winch - and DEF/Panzer Art wheels if needed.
No you were right Phil : Command and Control Campaign…
