Parcels delivered by the OOPS-man …

Edited to add this instructional video:

Omg…lol I’m pretty sure that’s exactly how it happened. Maybe I should give him a Christmas tip this year. We do get a lot of deliveries.

If he delivered a package to me in that shape, he’d look mighty similar by the time he crawled back to his van…

The real kicker was he placed another package on top of it then wrapped it in a plastic bag. I didn’t see the damage until after he left. I was not a happy camper.

It’s most time a disaster when I order with the federal post;dhl; I’m at home, waiting for the postman and later I will find a notice in my letter box, tells me :“sorry, you were not at home, could’nt bring your package”. Whenever possible I use ups or hermes, there it works

I have the same PE super detail kit for the Andy’s Tiger 1! Thing was freaking expensive!

A USPS driver left a “Sorry we missed you while you were out.” note in my curb-side mailbox. She just sat in the truck, scanned the package, wrote the note, put the package back in the truck, put the note in the mailbox and left.

Fifteen minutes from time note was written, I arrived at USPS with the note to claim my package.
Desk Clerk: “Sorry, it must still be on the truck.”

I assumed as much. … Then I informed the clerk that I was indeed at home and there was absolutely no attempt made to obtain my signature. Then I casually mentioned that the entire incident had been recorded on my security camera. … Due to my complaint, said driver had to make an extra delivery stop and I received my package at my front door twenty-minutes later.

Happy box day, two other orders on Tuesday expected. Sold my old Harley to prepay for dental work that is much needed and had some fun money left. This will be first time using AK but these paint kits ought to be perfect. All said and done very few duplicates colors between the Vallejo and AK sets. And these are much easier than trying to piece them together 1 at a time. I want to step up my figure game and locally finding the right uniform colors has been impossible. I’ll be set for a long time now.

Did you happen to purchase ak’s thinner and retarder? If you plan on spraying them in a airbrush it’s highly recommended!

No I didn’t but I might just after your suggestion. Mostly these will be strictly hair brush work so wallet pallet and out of my dry pallet. But you got me thinking I may want to spray the base uniform color then move to brushes for details, highlights and shadows.

Exact same thing happened to me! I was home and watched him put the slip in my mailbox! Went down to the PO and my package was delivered a half hour later. Must be a USPS-wide habit.

It seems a very rare occasion when we need to sign for anything, they just leave everything out on the porch,i only remember some tracks i ordered from Poland that i had to sign for.

Kept the postman busy bringing odds and ends last few days, solving a couple of hiccups.

Lost part E15 and robbed another kit for a replacement for my Dragon #6164 Panther D. Found a replacement E15 on fleabay for the robbed kit. Top, gray U shaped part.

Likewise, the DS mats in my Dragon 15cm Howitzer were turning to slime. Found unblemished replacements on fleabay. Bottom, orange :tangerine: parts.

Acquired a few emblems for display bases of various AFV’s under construction or planned :building_construction:.

  1. Grossdeutschland division emblems for the Panther D mentioned.

  1. 11th Panzer division aka “The Ghost Division” :ghost: for a planned Pz III Ausf L build.

half of this set won’t work on Andy’s tiger :frowning: got my Tiger yesterday and was disappointed :frowning:

That’s the reason why I don’t get it. It’s not really cheap, that would be okay when all the parts were usefull but not for just half the parts. Thanks for the information

That’s a bummer. I haven’t torn into the the Andy’s kit or the super detail kit yet. I guess I’ll just sit on the SD kit for now…

I have not seen a detail set for the AHHQ kit on the market yet. The only 1/16 detail sets I’ve seen are designed for the Tamiya kit, which is dimensionally different. Or did I miss something?

I’m sure, eduard will bring some parts soon, they are normally very fast with detail-sets for new
models. Maybe they have some yet, I don’t know

I was on the eduard website, 1/16 seems to be not the scale for them, not a single set in the scale
