Yes, I’ve seen the guy a couple of times a shows, and he is not the youngest of men. I also hope he will either recover or transfer his business…
There are other options metal, 3D and plastic but no one company has a similar catalog of track to replace as I recall.
Without any availability of Masterclub tracks for obvious reasons we are rapidly running out of choice.
On the Scammel Commander, what do you plan to do about the missing engine? Even on the front of the instructions, you can see right thru it above the front axle and I haven’t seen a resin engine available yet.
Put card in the area, waiting on AA to maybe provide all things missing and corrections.
A new arrival for my redone 42 Cr1 ride…
Will have to wait and see what happens with the Friul situation …
This is certainly a fine acquisition John, and should look even better with a Challenger on the back! So far, I only have one Tank Transporter in my stash, that being a Trumpeter Russian MAZ-537G with MAZ/ChMZAP-5247G semi trailer, purchased quite a few years ago at War & Peace. I’ve made a start on the trailer, but that’s it! Maybe now is the time to re-start work on it, perhaps as a Ukrainian jobby with a captured Russian tank on the back!
I’m just undecided as to a Cr1 or 2… I like those Maz set ups…they proper old school chunky …
There is an easy and obvious answer to this conundrum, quandary or dilemma:
Do both!
Or the Takom stillbrew Mk11 I have …
Well, I’m well put out with starting this build,
Found an area of concern, no fixing point for the front dampers to fix to on the suspension bar.
There is probably a part(find at the end I hope) just not attached there is an attachment point, or in the instructions.
Well, despite trying desperately to catch up re my Corps Main diorama (for the Command & Control piece), and wrestling with paint drying on the brush before it gets anywhere near the damn model (UK currently enduring a life-threatening heat wave if you believe the State organs and the MSM; it’s actually just a Summer) I saw no reason to starve the stash and this arrived today:
Object 450 aka T-74; 'should be an interesting build. I think if it had gone into production NATO would have had kittens and we’d be seeing parallel western developments such as, say, turretless M1s, ditto Challengers and Leopards. Just a thought.
Oh, apologies for the Belgian blonde beer - but it is a tad warm.
In the workshop thread we had been talking about a portable air compressor and @taylorrl mention No Name from Spraygunner. So I ordered it on Sunday.
It was already charged. I haven’t tested painting with it but I plan to shoot enamels etc outside with it and my acrylics inside.
Happy upcoming birthday. I’m building it too, between other projects
Interested in this one. Like to see a review if you could.
Crank it up Ryan! Can’t wait to get the skinny on this product. … No pressure… uh, well, I hope the compressor delivers pressure.

Anthony, 'not too sure when that’ll be I’m afraid. I’ve far too many projects on the go as it is.
I’ll try and get some sprue shots done once I get back from a week’s holiday (ie in a week’s time); in the meantime, I note that Scalemates has a good copy of the instruction sheets available, just to whet your appetite, should you be so inclined.
It is an interesting vehicle by any mark, and as I said, NATO would have probably been very concerned had this innovative tank been present in strength in GSFG!
Hopefully tonight but no later than the end of the weekend.
Good builder alert: Several of us may have followed Donald W. in his recent build log/trials with the new Takom 1/16th scale Ontos. IMHO a nice kit, lousy instructions. none the less Donald provided lots of insight into pitfalls w/the kit and his trial & error corrections. In his build, he mentioned he didn’t use 5 of the PE perforated 106mm ammo wraps. He graciously sent me his un-used brass for me to apply to some resin ammo - Very generous & appreciated - Thank you.
