Nice review, thanks!
@Johnnych01 Now what in all that’s holy possessed you to get that? You’d better FINISH ALL your other projects before cracking that monster. That’s going to take you quite a while John. And you already know you need the resin wheels for the whole thing! You’d be wise to clear and tidy the whole bench before cutting any sprue.
Nice hustle on the birthday present angle. She’s a sweetheart alright.
By Gully,
What a nice big chunk, a lot of work. And just the decision from your beloved one.
Keeps you of the street
Nice … any areas of concern so far ?
I know Matt @SSGToms - it will be big … I always wanted one with a chally on the back … this one like you said will be the main item on the bench when I get round to it … and of course the chally for the load …
Find out as I go along,
left the tankograd book at home for reference,
on other websites some builder have made comments, will check out later,
as yours is going to be, in three years time🤗 correction sets will be out.
According to Johnnys build list😉
One of my club members, has made 3 AA ones, two for others, still has my AA kit that he scrounge parts off for a customer of his, he is buttering up Derrick at AA for the missing parts🤣
lol … thats probably right with my build list … I may look out for the tankograd book though
I think i have a spare, do you want it, find out when back.
would be great if you do. Everywhere I just looked had sold out … or just unavailable …
I did see this one I was thinking of getting as well …
I have been thinking about proposing a ‘Got Hitched’ build for later this year into next year. A truck and trailer combo, tractor pulling field piece, or vehicle pulling/ carrying another vehicle build.
As long as the time frame is 24 months lol
Ha ha. It would have to a be along one for sure!
Sounds interesting to me Pete!
I would genuinely enjoy such a project but please set the end date at least two months past December 31, 2023. According to my spreadsheet, 11 campaigns currently end on the last day of 2023.
I have that book. It is quite good, the majority of the pictures are external full length shots.
There are some good pictures of the engine out of the machine and a single shot of the inside of the cab.
For me, not coming from a military background I found the list of typical loads interesting and informative.
Looks like there would be interest based on what you guys say. I’ll put some formal build ‘feelers’ out in the next month or so, for a start date late this year and well into next year. I am already hosting 2 builds and helping on a 3rd, so I’d like to see them squared away first.
Try annealing the coiled guitar strings makes them much more useable for shaping. I found anyway.
Keith
DAMN! Buggeration!
I hope he recovers soon or if he is forced to retire that someone else picks up the production …
Friul are the best, I don’t know what i’d use if they weren’t available.
