What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Well, demining ones way into a contested urban area would probably be safer using the Trophy APS variant.

Engineer variant?

@Robert_Goldman
Help.
Which Namer variants would/could be using mine rollers?

Combat engineer. Attached to infantry or armor division. Like a Pathfinder… or pathcutter

All of them could have the attachment added. They’re built to adapt

You’ve just made a Compelling Argument to buy at least two kits plus mineroller in my opinion.

A+++

Well @Johnnych01 John, here is what I’ve found, assuming I understood what you needed…

The Challenger 2 inside the museum (an early one I think) appeared to have the same mount points as the Cr 1 around the corner, but the good news was the Cr 2 had no plates on, so here are some pics, which if you double click the picture, should take you 30 or so shots on my Flickr feed! Let me know if you can’t get at those.

Generally anything in green is the Cr 2, Desert sand is the Cr 1. The plates look identical to me.

I forgot to bring a measure with me, so took some pencilled measurements onto a scrap of paper, from which I have produced this rough plan of the top and side on views. The end views can be derived from the plan but are pretty clear in the pictures. The split pins splay out completely as you would expect, on the bottom surface.

The weld joins made accurate measuring a bit difficult when it comes to the depth!

One thing I did notice on the Cr 1 was the very front mounting on each side was a bit different…

Looking at that picture now, I realise I could have got you a shot from the inside, as I’m not sure from that picture how that bolt fixes to that support.

I’m there next Friday as a member of the Tankfest Volunteer modellers, and also on the following Sunday as a Tankfest punter, so can get any clarification needed, or any other bits that might help. I’ll take a ruler next time also!

Hope that helps. There are a few other bits around the edges that I took also included! If I have got the wrong parts, let me know and I’ll go back and look again, and if you need anything else just yell.

Damn, sorry Terry, I think I may of sent you down the wrong road…

I meant these mate…the support arm ends on the lower hull between the running gear …

Thanks for what you did do though
I do appreciate it mate :+1:

Oops, back to the drawing board! :rofl:

I must admit when I tried moving the plates on the Cr 1, I wondered how they were so solidly fixed lower down!

I’ll look again next weekend, no worries!

Been considering building the Meng Namer as a CEV with the Nochri Dalet Mine Roller, but since I have a Tiger Models Nagmachon Doghouse version, I was thinking of adding the mine roller to that one, but i have not seen any actual pictures of the Late model Nagmachon WITH the rollers; plenty of the earlier variants.

That one’s definitely a great project.

Bloody hell Robin, when you shop, you shop!

Spreads the postage and handling costs over more kits, less overhead on each …
By the way, it was only a partial delivery, a few more kits to follow in August …

Latest SB drop. The SMK is planned for the Best Tank that never was campaign. A few chain options for the Gama Goat and later projects.

The SMK is a nice and simple kit. I build it in one go.

Just the kind of build I need. Thanks.
