Here’s some in-progress photos.
I’m still working on all the sub-assemblies. I don’t know if I’ll paint the whole interior or leave it unpainted.
I tried a naked build with a Panzer38(t) Ausf.S and I liked the result.

But you are correct most of it won’t be seen, it’s a shame since Tristar / HobbyBoss put a lot of effort on detailing the interior

Aha! Thank you BNA Modelworld - a mere 3 weeks or so from the other side of the world - most impressive!

I have cunning plans for these…

The latest from Hobby Link. I always wanted one of these goofy things in 1/35:

Funnily enough, when I worked relatively briefly for a retired pop musician in the New Forest (southern UK), near the town of Lymington, in a field was one of these next to a Stalwart; I used to see them daily when travelling around doing what good PAs do for retired pop musicians. I had thought I’d taken a pic or 2, but sadly can’t find them.

I can only assume they were there as part of some multi-millionaire’s 1:1 scale collection, ( the area was bursting at the seams with multi-millionaires - my boss included!) but it was all a bit surreal amdist the New Forest ponies, heather and gorse.

Just for the record and apropos of absolutely zilch.

HobbyLink kits arrived today. The M125 will go with the Academy M113 that arrived recently. The M342 will go to the AFV Club M35 to make the standard-wheelbase dump variant.

Hi Al,

Want to buy one of those 3/4 ton dump trucks? Wanamaker sent it by mistake.

It is Takom’s ‘less complicated’ range Anthony, as per their own blurb:

I have seen the Jagdtiger and Stug III built up and they look quite good when finished, but I have never built one myself. I have the first release Jagdtiger in the stash.

I like to equate it to eduards weekend edition. Similar quality to their standard stuff but fewer parts and less bells and whistles

Opinions vary on the Takom Blitz kits from what I’ve read. They are definately buildable etc.

Missing Lynx Takom’s-new-pz-kpfw-iiiausf-n-with-winterketten discusses the many issues with the original Takom Blitz Pz III N kit. Poor suspension fit, alignment plus dimensional errors. Some will care about that sort of stuff and some won’t.

Here’s my Takom Blitz Pz III N.

My view, Blitz means caveat emptor to an even greater degree than normal for a plastic model kit. Best to read build reviews before purchasing. I stopped buying Takom Blitz kits after building their disappointing Blitz Pz III N.

After reading a review on this forum about Quick Wheel/Quick Track’s new snap fit 3D printed tracks decided to order a couple of sets. They arrived today!

Well, it’s my first Blitz kit.
I was searching for a Jagdtiger with Zimm, I already have 3 Dragon kits, none with Zimm.
Still habe a lot on my bench but I will try to build this one side-by-side with one of the Dragon’s to see how the hold up.

Intruiged! One I might have taken a guess at what you had in mind Brian, but three!!!

Having said that, I’ve been distracted by Airfix’s surprise announcement of their new tool 1/48 Seaking and I can count at least 3 that I’d like to do!

Well, sometimes with resin kits they seem to go out of production quite quickly, hence the mass buy. I can understand why - eg if they’re not exactly flying off the shelves. Lately, I’ve become ensnared by the What-If genre and I was thinking along the lines of what I call “Deutsches Reich '46”; it seeemed to me that this vehicle was of a good, futuristic design (apparently it was responsible for the deaths of many Germans due to its high speed) and would look very good as a Staff Car in a number of scenarios. Then I went off at all sorts of tangents and came up with the “Assassination of Himmler” in one of these, say, intercepted on an autobahn by a Soviet paratroop group(!) That’s the trouble with “What-Ifs” of course, it only increases the modelling ideas.

We’ll see.
