What the postman brought today (Armorama)

@ayovtshev Angel can you tell me what this kit is like as I’ve got my eye on the Finnish version w/interior kit CV35A009.

Luciano,

A short summary would read like this:
13 sprues of tan styrene
1 sprue of clear parts
3 frets of PE
1 sheet of decals
17 pages Instruction with 30 building steps.

I’ve seen no extraction marks, that will be visible.

For the level of detail, I’ll add 2 pictures from the instruction- they speak for themselves:

Highly recommended kit!

HTH,
Cheers,
Angel

Thank you Angel, looking at the instructions it looks a very well detailed kit, I’ll definitely be adding one to the stash for after all my Porsche builds.

The CAMs Six Tonner series (there are a bunch of them) are one of the best kept secrets in armor modeling. I build Polish armor, so I have several of these kits. I can only describe them as exquisite. The finesse of detail is amazing. The fit is perfect. The engineering is excellent. These kits are a joy to build and are true gems right OOB. The included details are impressive, to say the least. You may have never heard of CAMs, but this tiny company produces some stellar kits. You’ll be impressed if you get one.

Picked up this ARMS Corps conversion set. It converts Meng’s Leopard 1A3/1A4 kit into an Australian Leopard AS1.

This is the first conversion kit ARMS Corps models has produced in 9 years. They produced some of the best resin based conversion sets for Australian vehicles that were on the market. Now the company has moved into 3D printing.

I’ll be posting pics of the contents soon.

So I really have a soft spot for the Jagdpanzer 38t (Hetzer) so much so that Takom’s interior kits went on my list. I only wanted a Late one. I already built the Tamiya kit years ago. So I’m at the Hudson Valley Historical Miniatures Guild show in Poughkeepsie, NY and one of the vendors had this:

So I bought it. I don’t know why. I hate leaving a vendor room empty handed. When I got home I went online in search of the Late model. Andy’s Hobby Headquarters had it, and at the best price with shipping, so I ordered it and it landed yesterday.

Looks to be an excellent kit in box, lots of fine detail. I’ve built 6 Takom kits and liked all of them. I plan to move this toward the top of the to-do pile and trick it out, leaving all the hatches and panels open.
I didn’t post this yesterday because my vinyl single of the new Beatles song “Now And Then” also hit my door and I spent a good part of the afternoon listening to it and smiling.

I need to grab one of these one day. I love all things panzer 38t, have 5 vehicles in the stash on that chassis. All three Marder variants, a Pz 38t and a Flak panzer 38t.

Look forward to seeing pics of your build

Nothing, because MBK is apparently behind with new listings and most of what I want to order is either not there yet or already out of stock. Sorry for the angry rant.

I got an email notification that Sprue Bros. got in a kit on my Wish List. I bought a Takom 1/35 FV432 Mk. 2/1 as well as their AMX-13/105.

It’s time to learn new things!

One thing to note about the AMX13/105 is the Takom gun barrel has significant size issues - 7mm too short and the muzzle brake is much too large. FC Modeltrend is the only ones that make a replacement that I know of since they produced it for their Sherman Repotenciado conversion. And yes, I know many think that FC stuff is not very good, but in this case the barrel (or at least the one I have) is decent, still not perfect but far better in shape then the Takom one.

From my own experience with the FC 3D printed gun barrel, it is not perfect. While the dimensions are pretty accurate, the barrel is no longer straight and presents a visible curve.
