What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Soooo, do we then deduce that the Driver could drive the thing with his head out of the turret? Robin’s first listed ref includes some photos and the 6th one along gives better and (I assume) more complete details, of the seat, which looks to me as though it could be elevated a considerable distance - shown here for ease of reference:

If that is the case then great, as it means I can depict the beast in motion, and not have to show it say, on the gun park, lonely and unloved.

I am not the kind of bloke that needs to have the newest kit straight away, being quite happy to wait a while for prices to come down (in this case quite a while). Well, whilst I was at the Northern Model show yesterday I was keeping an eye open for some kits I had wanted and lo and behold I saw this with a sticker price of £30! I thought I’d have that only for the lady running the stall to only charge me £25, which is a bonus. I’ve opened it up this morning to have a gander and there was a set of engine grills in the box also!

Ooh that’s a good score!

Nothing grand, just a little resupply…

Got them from a family run business up in Scotland, AMS paints and accessories… Not affiliated with them in any way…they just give great, quick and friendly service at nice prices.

Went to KMK Scaleworld 2024 yesterday. Seen very beautiful things.
Just bought a egg sub and a factory wall with gate.
The clamps arrived by mail

Further to my last, I’ve been wading through my Tankograd books and discovered that the M55 could indeed motor along with the Driver exposed in his hatch. The Tankograd volume is “Nuclear Winter FTX” just for the record.

Two pics of the mighty M55 motoring along amidst the snow and ice as only the Federal Republic of Germany could provide. Page 24.

Great news - well - for me(!)

My tankers finally arrived. They will be transformed into HJ Div in Normandy. I like that it comes with headsets which will go well with my Pz.Bef.Wg.IV Ausf H

I’ve asked around on here about my Dragon MLRS and feedback wasn’t great.

So, this arrived today.

Further to my last, and thinking ahead (unusual for me) for the mighty M55, I’m assuming that for the time period and location (USAREUR - where else for such a Cold War warrior as I?) we’re looking at Tamiya’s JGSDF OD (XF-74) for the finish?

Bought these in Prague, CZ a few days ago:

The 2 airplane kits are for my 8-yr old son. Went to Pecka - Modelář in the Old Town, which had a good inventory.
Surprisingly, the Academy K9A1 was 10 USD cheaper than the prices I could find online. The Zvezda TBMP T-15 was the same price I could get on eBay weirdly. Disappointedly, ICM and Miniart kits were just as expensive as in the US over there. Italeri and Revell Germany kits were cheaper but couldn’t find anything I wanted or didn’t already have…

Guess what my next build will be?

Arrived yesterday.

This stuff is the Dog’s Lipstick.

Really fine application nozzle, flows really well and easily removed with water and a swab.

No more Milliput for me.

Does it shrink as it cures?

An apple? I mean, green putty and green paint…

Just kidding! I’m looking forward to your PT-76 build.

PT-76 not yet, first I plan to do a conversion of a BTR-50 PK into BTR-50 PU: BTW its not green paint, Tamiya XF-69 and XF-84 for tank tracks…

Oh okay, well I’m looking forward to those!
Also, my bad! They looked a bit like dark green in the pictures.

I finally have tracks for my Panzer IV after I destroyed the RFM ones. Thanks folks for the advice on R-Model tracks, they look fabulous!

I don’t think so. If it does, it hasn’t been perceptible to me.

Hi Roly,
Is this better than Magic Sculpt because it’s water clean-up before curing, too?

I guess you don’t have to mix it, and that’s a big advantage?
