What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Cider blocks and boards from that construction job down the street made for great shelves and place to put your books and models. Just don’t touch the blocks

I had this awesome set arrive today from Galactic Toys. It was ordered and sent to me by my very good friend Fred Boucher - a.k.a. - JPTRR. He is a great friend and fellow modeler. Thank you, Fred. :+1:

It goes along really well with this book that I am currently reviewing for Osprey Publishing.

From Evil Bay. One more piece of NVA Truppenluftabwehr.

Compared with Trumpeter SA-13 it is simple.
Direct comparision between Trumpeter (left) and DML (right) turret. About time to break out the Evergreen Strips?

Not sure if that’s a fair comparison. Considering Dragon’s kit was released in 1991 when there was still very little information available, whereas the Trumpeter SA-13 was released in 2017, 26 years later! I think Dragon did a good job for the time and they were the only ones releasing Soviet kits. I still remember seeing the very first Dragon brochure in 1989 showing the T-72 and was in complete awe.

Really been trying to not buy kits only accessories for a bit. Technically I haven’t failed, a club member gifted me this kit. :sunglasses:

This one showed up cheap on Amazon.

I am trying to purchase more carefully, currently seeking models that are easy to build and paint. For difficulty, this one reminds me of a Tamiya Panzer II. Hobby Boss tends to simplify things but this model includes a nice set of individual link tracks.
