What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Just out, from 3D Microcosmos, 3D printed Diehl tracks for my M113 Tow Under Armor. All one piece, all cleaned up, and flawless. They are a thing of beauty.

DSPIAE strikes again. Two ultra fine glass files for that final finish.

We all know we’re model geeks, why not proudly show it?

See, I can still make hobby purchases and get them by SWMBO without buying models.

At least with a Tamiya shirt you can be sure the fit is perfect!

Tracks look great, much better than the HK Creations ones I’ve used. Never again

Yeah, they sure make some nice prints. I have few of their stuff and the detail is flawless.

They’re for the Academy kit, but the Academy kit is really nice!

Ten years ago, I would have agreed  Since then, though, we got one from AFV Club …

Mounts for Mot. Schützen.

A new book about the Terrapin, released last week. As I have the Resicast kit in the stash and about a third of this book covers the Terrapin’s use in my part of the world, I kind of had to have it

Well went out for a drive yesterday as my flat was like an oven, anyway found my way to Hannants and picked up a couple of items.

Now of these first two one will end up on the back of a Sd.Ah.116 being towed by a Famo not sure which at this moment though.

Now these are very nice little kits of early war subjects. I need to explore more.

Postman didn’t bring it, I had to collect the parcel at a shop, but:

Somebody offered this kit for sale over on Scalemates. When I inquired about it, he said it was “already started” which turns out to mean:—

“almost completely built, with some bits broken off. Oh, and resin exhausts with etched covers.” But as it cost me all of €11 including postage, and it’s well-made, I don’t mind. All I really need to do is correct the turret, put the broken bits back on, and buy a set of separate-link tracks.

Well the Hannants Colindale shop is only 30 minutes away and I very rarely go there as generally they don’t have a large choice of 1/72 armour. What I picked up apart from the Brummbar were all new to the shop.

Do you know if there’s a Hannants in Gt Yarmouth? I used to go down an alley off the town centre and browse/buy at an excellent hobby shop during our annual holiday in “Rain Yarmouth”.

Yes the one in Gt Yarmouth is the Hannants, it’s a warehouse that you can walk around with a shopping trolley and pile it high with kits with no price stickers then go to the check out and have to sell the car to pay the bill.
The one in Colindale is a franchise, located close to the RAF museum Hendon.

You’re so lucky living that close to your “dealer”:smile:

Looks loke a good start…easy enough to make it your ‘own’ build.

Not the postman, but my daughter as it’s my birthday today. I have always had a thing for VW Campers, especially pre 1967 splitties. As they are extremely expensive to get a good one and then become money pits in their own right this is as close as I will come to owning one
