Got some rust effect washes in …
Something to control my NVA Truppenluftabwehr.
The kit has a full interior, but no instructions how to paint

So I ordered WWP BTR-60 book.
My latest pickups are these. I finally use my SoCal AMPS won store credit at Brookhurst Hobbies from the 12 hour build contests to pick up these kits
I gotta say that the Emerson TOW Hammerhead TOW turret is the best that I’ve seen in 1/35. They captured most every detail including the three separate sights, as well as the optical ducting!
Then I had tried to get this one thru Brookhurst as well, but it was not available from their wholesalers, but I did find it an Andy’s this past Saturday…
I just need the AVLB and CEV, and my Patton family will be pretty much complete.
And the cupola is the correct size, unlike every other effort at this thing.
Yup. I only wish that they had properly done the vision blocks. AFV Club just has thin molded clear plastic window pane type pieces for each one, instead of the thick pieces needed to more accurately reproduce the armored laminated glass that they were made from.
The Desert Eagle n° 36 about MERKAVA Special Utilty from Mister MASS, Another very good reference book in my collection, now i’m waiting to get the n°37 Iron Swords book and order some missed books from this serie.
If someone were to drop a $60 Amazon gift on you, what would you use it for that could be posted here (or on Aeroscale)?
Airbrush Master Airbrush G233 review - #8 by Tank_1812 and Quick shine (future replacement). All rounds spent.
60 bucks? A tube of glue!
I second what Ryan @Tank_1812 said: Master airbrush and bottle of Quick Shine. You couldn’t spend money any better and you’ll get years of high quality daily use out of both.
French Steel Masters magazine with the AH-64 D longbow takom build
Actually “What the Postman Brought Recently” to be more correct. A slightly belated birthday present?
This one comes with metal barrels, PE and is typical Foreart Superior quality.
Another Foreart gem with PE and “printed” wheels.
The price was very reasonable on this one, details are quite good but more of a simplified quicker build kit. Launcher pod can be set in either a travel or a single raised position.
Cheers,
Jan
Postman delivered the spoils of Sprue Brothers weekend 20% off sale for Academy kits today.
Like this fellow, wanted to see what Academy offers with their 1/35 Last Panther G & Factory 183 T-34/76 kits.
First impression looks pretty decent other than the suck-taclular link & length tracks that have incorrect solid guide teeth. It seems decent for ~$48 but I’d be unhappy with at full retail of $69 given the tracks with this one. If built will replace tracks.
Far more excited to see the T-34/76 kit in the flesh. Looks decent at first glance except for the ugly turret texture and very lamely molded extra suck-tacular link & length tracks. Overall, pretty happy for $40 sale price. If built will replace tracks.
Excited about the T-34/76 and really want to slam it together
My search for the perfect cheap and easy practice model continues…
I wonder if this thing has any connection to the Ontos, perhaps through a German engineer. Unit badges on the decal sheet should prove super useful for future projects.
Arrived today from Vietnam:
Excellent 3D print quality and top service by Mr. Khang Nguyen
The PMP will be my first Autumn 2024 build.

The el-cheap-o airbrush from China has arrived. Yay?
Will this finally solve my airbrush woes? Probably not.
Fits my equipment out of the box which is great.
Nozzle is tiny and not easily removable.
Cleaning procedure is significantly different from my Iwata. That could lead to confusion and trouble.
The needle is for my Iwata. Still waiting on the new nozzle for that one.
Gonna give el-cheap-o a try in about an hour. Will start with some easy base coats. Mostly want to get accustomed to the cleaning procedure.
This is my first gravity feed airbrush. I have long wondered if all my problems stem from side feed airbrushes. About to find out.
