Is that measured in pages or pounds?
It’s from Germany, so in euros
Or should that be kilos?
Randy,
Looks like about 80 pages 597-677. I took a quick look to see if the pics were familiar or new, I cant say either way without pulling other refs off my shelf. Seems to be pretty thorough coverage.
Tom
I got mine too. This huge, heavy tome of a book is heavily illustrated with razor sharp photos, most of which I am not familiar with. Big price tag but I’m glad I got it.
looks like it has a double use to flatten out those warped pieces one sometimes gets in a kit?
I have resisted getting this, but if someone published a book like this on the T-55 they could take all my money. This looks really great!
At least with the recent Son of Sherman they split it into two volumes in a box set so each was liftable!
But it’s good to see the KV getting similar levels of love…
Thank you for the information Tom, I appreciate you checking on that for me. Captured equipment is a favorite military subject of mine and when I saw that there was a section in that book dedicated to it, it piqued my interest.
Thanks again,
Randy
Totally set for the long winter now. I hope I can only do a semblance of justice to this thing. Ran across one build and this guys engines were a work of art! Also seems there is a ten part you tube of a build I have yet to look at. Only saw one once loading 155 ammo for our 2/11 arty.
Some goodies arrived today:
- 0.8 mm styrene plates from Aber,
- 0.25 mm solder wire for superdetailing engines and chassies,
- 3 sets of 0.75 mm towing cables(enough for 4 Pz.Kpfw. IV builds)- I gave one to a modelling buddy of mine,
- 3 sets of Microdesign for various kits in the stash, including a set for my ongoing conversion of ADV’s ZiL-130 to ZiL-130G.
Cheers,
Angel
I bought a fairly cheap models of a large caliber guns from the previous owners.
The box is a little dented, but everything inside is intact.
From Sprue Bros Lightning Sale.
Just did a quick look-thru of the kit. The FN MAG receiver is split into left and right halves. Not sure I like that. It does have a clear rod to suspend the TOW missile launching.
Holy… 1:35th… that’s got to be a HUGE kit !!
Who doesn’t ??
Another M800 conversion, the revised hood version so it should be great. Plus 3 cans of the last Tamiya flat clear we’ll see in Canada.
Wonder if the Testors version will suffer the same ban?
If I wasn’t locked into Gulf War stuff, I’d definitely build one of these. Nice looking vehicle.
That is strange , isn’t it ? Also the half moon ejection pin marks .
Part and parcel for AFV Club. Definitely a shock if you’re used to Tamiya. I found a few on the other kits (Meng, Takom, Vulcan).
