What the postman brought today (Armorama)

The Trumpeter version is a total new tool kit. honestly light years ahead of the dragon version. I’m really enjoying the build so far. here’s where I’m at so far.

Good to know. But the main reason I wanted that particular decal sheet was to build the “Ft. Benning/Moore King Tiger”.

Lots of history around that tank.

I’m getting ready to master a big topic: Soviet pre-war tanks. Stocked up on all kinds of jacks and sound signals of that period.

I don’t forget the gun topic either.

+1 for the Neoeco airbrush. Wade’s assessment is spot on. It does perform like a $135 brush. I’ve put it through it’s paces many times and it’s operation has been outstanding. Easy cleaning, too. If you don’t pick one up for $32, you’re making a big mistake.

I thought I’d look into that, as it seems too good to be true. I guess it isn’t if you’re in the USA, but after changing .com in the link to .nl, I got a bit of a rude surprise:

:frowning:

Even the non-reduced price in the USA is under half of that, at US$39.99.

I intend to show the engine, not sure if I cna open the turret because the previous builder shutted the hatches, I’ll have to repair the crusader too (I plan to do an african one). I plan to show the sturmtiger interior.

I’m still working on mine. Slowly boring out the holes for the A-Arms of the suspension.

Got a killer deal for Ryefield’s M1150 ABV.

I know someone here was in the process of putting one together, so I will keep my eyeballs clicking for it.

Interesting. I still recall that fantastic series “Connections “ with James Burke and in one he touched on how stirrups changed warfare.

That show made it across the pond? Really? Was it on PBS or something like that?

Ah yes, Connections. I believe it was on Discovery Channel. A truly innovative and awe inspiring show. How he made it from start point to ending was always eye opening and his research was incredible. I never missed an episode. I wish it was still going.

My university degree is in History, & I concentrated on the European Middle Ages. I’d love to seek out the episode & see how it matches with what I studied.

I’ve attempted the book a few times and while I read tons this is one case where the book can not come close to how it was presented on film. Not even close.
