What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Really great book for M3 info, quite hefty too.

Forgot to take a photo before putting it in the stock, bought of one of a fellow modeller, with tracks.

@Venko was nice enough to print me some of his UAZ-469 printed parts.

I now to build my fleet of 469’s from Trumpeter, Zvezda and Military Wheels.

Received today from Ringo Resin (“No” - I hadn’t heard of them either(!)

Discovered whilst Googling “1/35 Trolley”.

Figure for size comparison obviously.

I’ll be using one of these for my Northern Army Group Land Rover model within the “Get Hitched” campaign.

The Ringo Resin site is well worth a look - they do some useful and interesting stuff; I had to order 2 of the trolleys but that’s because there’s a minimum price issue, which I sort of get in these days of high postage. Overall, I don’t think the prices are too punishing.

Anyway, if you fancy a look:

Something followed me out a bricks and mortar shop, been thinking about it since it came out several years ago.

Yes I know it’s not Soviet but I got to have a counter to the Soviet stuff and well it’s a Cent.

@HermannB that book looks interesting shame I can’t read German.

Hi Luciano, yes the book is interesting. It contaoins unpublished pics from the “family albums” of the officers and NCO´s.

Reading much more of late so…

My collection already includes decals, models, and photo books for a number of vehicles from this action. Hopefully, this book will provide new information (to me) on the history portion of the story.

Over the years, I must have read a few dozen books on Blitzkrieg and Maneuver Warfare in general. This one focuses on action at the small unit level.

These little books from Casemate are pretty good. I still need to acquire the model.

Just over 24 hrs. from order to delivery so can’t complain, AK Camo Net to use on my Warrior build. Having popped it out of the packet it is very much like the material of the real thing just on a much thinner scale.

SSModel 1/35 CV90120. Delivered yesterday. Pretty decent details. It was delivered with scars on some parts of the kit. You can see some of the scars on the turret. It isn’t scratched with raised of engraved lines, it is flush. It just has those white lines.

The white lines are probably un-cured resin. Should be able to lightly scrap or brush them off.

Not sure if it is just the photo, but the non-slip texture sure looks heavy and rough?

Thanks for the info about the white lines.

The 3D printed non-slip texture is rougher than on the Hobby Boss CV90-40C but it isn’t really that bad. Here you can see the 3D printed area compared to the Hobby Boss area. The Hobby Boss non-slip is very fine and almost like 10,000 grit sandpaper.

I had this title arrive today. Captured vehicles and equipment is one of my favorite subjects, so I was happy to get this title to add to my personal library. :open_book:

Thanks,

Ah, that’s the book with the incorrect colours for Cuckoo, isn’t it? I see they did get the missing skirt hanger rail correct, but not the chipped-off Zimmerit, and why is there a tow shackle on the left tool rack? The rest of the stowage is incorrect too for the winter camouflage. Oh, and they forgot to paint the second line of wheels white. Anything I forgot?

It is a great day! The homemade spray booth got SWMBO-approved for spraying Mr Color paint diluted with Mr Leveling Thinner.

Wow, don’t let small children get too close to that - looks like it could pull them in and vent them outside!
