Now we’re talking!

As an aside do you remember when I tried to make a Soviet Traffic Regulator as part of my T64B project?

If only I’d waited!

Mixed bag today, a helo and a flatcar, got it from a sale from my favorite plastic pusher.

@BootsDMS. I can give you an insight on the “Huey” kit if you like.

Thanks Hermann, I’ve got you down as a suitable source(!) - just might be a bit of a delay at the moment. before I tackle such a large project - to me that is - so I might cut my helicopter teeth on something smaller - such as this one:

then this one - to a Heer version:

which is where you come in(!)

And eventually this one:

So, a sort of graduated programme, but a lot of involved building that’s for sure.

No problem Brian. From what I saw, the kit needs some extra care and I have to do my homework first. What do you think of the Super Frelon kit? It´s huge, isn´t it?

It is; it will be the largest model I will build - unless I tackle my Panzershop Scrooge. I came across it by accident and got it for a good price; I was unaware at the time that is apparently quite rare.

To be honest, the box art caught me - I always liked Heller’s sparse artwork - I envisage it being somewhere like Djibouti, and would hope to replicate the box art with troops embarking, perhaps after an exercise, yet with a jeep and say, a couple of Legionnaires observing. But a massive kit, which will need a careful approach and sequencing, and also, worryingly, a large base!

That’s the ultimate plan; fruition? I have no idea!

Arrived to replace my beat-up fifteen-year-old GREX stand — same version as the old one.

‘GREX HD1 Airbrush Holder’

.

Note: The upper holders are not actually compatible with GREX TG Airbrushes (trigger-style). However, you can make them work by spreading the hooks (see below). This makes for a very sturdy set-up. HTH.

Note: No affiliation with any manufacturers or sellers.

I checked the instructions on Scalemates. Looks good and has also pilot figures AND infantry.

I checked the kit and must say that I am DISAPPOINTED. Contrary to the Boxart, the kit is only a Reichsbahn Ssys45 type flatcar.

Yeah, I looked up that flatcar and you need to source your own M47.

It does say on the box, “the box art is for reference only”. The labeling and part count suggest only the rail car.

I don´t intend to build the boxart. MR Modellbau released a conversion kit for a current version. I wait desperatly for it.:frowning:

Got these over the past week. Building up the stash for when the weather breaks into good outdoor painting and a new mask to try and stop some paint coloring my lungs even more.

They will help a lot.

Thank you, I thought the included tracks looked a bit thick or something I was able to find those on ebay through one of my fav sellers who carry’s tons of resin kits and various conversion sets plus a lot of other stuff.
