Absolutely I remember Brian, and a great job you did on it. I stumbled onto this figure set while looking for something else and snatched it up!
That ACV-P is a pre-order, right? I have it listed as due for release February 28th.
I ordered it on AliExpress. It’s shipped and should be here this week.
Today CanPost brought this. It’s 3D Wild’s Electric Power Plant set for the HEMTT EPP pictured at the bottom.
Here’s my recent modeling purchases from HobbyEasy, EBay, this forum, and the LHS!
I’m unfortunately not able to make “stupid” (It’s totally an investment
) financial decisions like this anymore though…
Quite the substantial haul.![]()
I don’t understand why you can no longer make “wise financial investments” with hauls like that anymore
? Beauty.
At my build rate, those would probably take me to my end years to build.
LHS had a deal on this M19 so I figured why not.
I already have a Ram in the stash waiting to be built. Now I have the perfect way to display it
The Bronco one? In that case I have to ask: How hung up do you get on models that are dimensionally off? ![]()

I am not that hung up on it, I have ready about the discrepancies and it generally looks like a Ram. I have yet to see an IPMS judge pull out converted line drawings to check the accuracy of a kit, maybe when that starts happening I will worry
Received today from the peerless Perfectscale Modellbau; the Leo 1A2 turret - required for my Canadian project “Rent-a-Panzer”:
Note the sight housings which are flattened slightly - but essential for this mark:
I don’t build models for show judges, I build them for myself
Which means I will end up cutting up a Bronco Ram at some point to take about 2 mm out of the lower hull and 4 mm from the upper …
About the plans and judges. Don’t give them any ideas.
Accuracy is not supposed to be a criteria in judging for IPMS. I’ve judged at a few IPMS contests here locally, and that caveat has been mentioned each time as part of the judges briefing. Most judges do not have that level of subject knowledge matter to begin with on a single subject within a category, let alone on multiple or all of them. So the exact correct shade of OD, Dunkelgelb, number of roadwheel rim bolts, etc. are not supposed to be part of criteria when judging. Accurizing a kit, on the other hand, when provided with supporting documentation, can fall under “scope of effort” criteria when it comes down to judging two otherwise equally qualified entrants.
Something for my upcoming builds.
CMK Huey cockpit for my DML kit
Red Brown for my Rlmmp flatcar build.
There isn’t time to judge, let alone on accuracy. There is usually enough basic construction issues that you separate out 1,2,3 on before accuracy is even a concern.
You could have it as a transport scene in Germany. As a few ones available.
This arrived via CanPost today. I only ordered it 5 days ago - from Taiwan. Amazing service and pennies for delivery.
It will be the base for a second M548 fueler I hope to build this year. The first will have the two 600 gallon bladders and pump, while this one will have the 2 pods and pump by Hobby Link.
