@Armor_Buff Oh OK Wade you scared me there. I thought you’d lost your mind, just for a moment.
The even rule saved the bacon and helps me find my mind when I misplace it
That’s a good rule! I like it!
Now whilst I like that, just remember that if you really suffer/endure “OCD” - you’d re-arrange it to “CDO”.
(not really an Army Staff Clerk)
Squadron recently had a clearance sale, so I picked up this set of three scissors for a really good price.
@Armor_Buff . Show the Churchill.
On a separate note since the brain injury I am a fanatic for symmetry … So the rule of 2 is good . I am the new poster child for OCD club…lmbo
Who needs money when you can have all these tiny bits of finely cast resin!
Oh, and some vintage Styrene
British and Canadian Equipment and some tentage from Black Dog
Water/POL and ammo cans from Ultra Cast
Tank commander from Ultra Cast to go with that Greyhound for a project I have in mind.
Not sure what I’m going to do with that roller gizmo, but it looked interesting. I bought it mostly with the intention of applying stencils without having to get my airbrush out. Also it came with a tube of anti-slip putty.
Exposure Therapy: build models of aircraft (real and paper projects) designed by Blohm + Voss such as the BV 141, BV 237, P 111, P 178, P 194, P 202, P 204 and Ae607…

As a tool whore….I mean tool hoarder, I had to look up the Blitzroller. Dang it Bobby, now I want one too!
The secondary use is awesome!
These arrived today. The originals that Meng have rebranded. Not cheap but been wanting to treat myself for a while, £41.99 later and here they are.
Packaging is very nice and the nippers look the part. Will report on performance when I start next build. Come with tool to adjust limit, nice leatherish protector and a cleaning cloth.
Hopefully these will make clean up of parts slightly easier.
Cheers, Jim.
Blimey, they look identical to the Tamiya ones I just bought and amazingly, Tamiya’s are way cheaper than that, well maybe £6 cheaper.
Never thought i’d see an equivalent tool more expensive than Tamiya!
Meng is very proud of their name and price accordingly on everything.
If you are referring to Tamiya’s Sharp Pointed Side Cutters, the Dspiae cutters are not the same as these are single blade cutters, whereas Tamiya’s have a blade on each side. I’ve used Tamiya cutters for years (and still do) as they are excellent, but the single blade cutters now being produced by many companies are better for cutting parts off of sprues (at least in my opinion). I tried both the Dspiae ones as well as God Hand (both are roughly similar in price) and liked God Hand’s better, but both are very good. Now my Tamiya ones are used (I have two pair) for cutting wire, resin, etc. and the God Hand ones are solely for cutting plastics parts from sprues.
Yeah Jon, what you say is exactly why I bought these. I also have the Tamiya ones and while they are good, the cut can still result in stress fractures. I would have gone for the Godhand ones, but they are very hard to find here in the UK.
Oh and the Meng branded ones are £49.99 when you can find them in stock, and the packaging isn’t as nice as the DSPIAE originals. And these are the 3.0 version apparently…Ha!
In my opinion, Dspiae is hands down the best model tool maker out there (with RP Toolz and Tamiya very close seconds). While I thought their side cutters while ever so slightly inferior to the God Hand ones, I have a number of their other items like the Leviathan file, tool rack, and pin vise, and all are high quality items that I feel are well worth the cost.
A short stop in my LHS today.
I brought home this:
Been chasing this Bronco offering for 3 years now- ever since I read in Wikipedia, that 4 MaxxPro’s were used by the Bulgarian forces in Afghanistan and managed to find a picture:
It’s a gorgeous kit and I’m sure I’ll enjoy building it very much!
Cheers,
Angel
Nice pickup. Been eye balling this one for some time to add to my stash.
Never saw this coming. I would never have picked this as a kit in your genre Angel! Enjoy.
Wow. Angel . Cant wait to see what you do with this.
