What the postman brought today (Armorama)

Darn GK! That’s a nice little library you’re building this month. Research material is one of the most important tools in our tool box.

More like rebuilding. I used to have just about a lot more stuff but had to sell it all. Now that I’m retired, I use some every month to replace what I sold, plus new stuff that has come out. The only problem I have now is reading it all. It’s a good problem to have though!

Nice catch on the Canadian Leo and Abrams TUSK books!

Been naughty buying more stuff, I don’t need but WOW that Sheridan & Pz IV G made my day.

Both of those look great! Hope to see you do a build log of the Sheridan.

Sheridan is an easy build as you expect from Tamiya. Lack of a proper turret basket is the only real shortcoming. Easy enough to scratch on if you want. Did mine as 11ACR with AM decals. 11ACR Sheridan Good luck.

@Gary_Kato, now those are some serious books :books:

I have the Border Models new Crusader on the way from Hobbyeasy. Last order from there late 2020 took only 2 weeks so fingers crossed its here soon.

Not strictly delivered… I had to go buy it but hey ho.

I was initially going to get the Rust-oleum terracotta as was talked about in another thread, but the store didn’t have that. So got this one instead, same thing but this one is “Desert Bisque” … Whatever that is. They also had one in what was very similar to an olive green maybe a bit lighter, and a brown similar to NATO brown.

I will be using this on the ODS build and the M1A1 I am building.

Desert Bisque is a delicacy of the French Foreign Legion, served in the mess…

I wonder how that paint will work over styrofoam?

Gino @HeavyArty may know as I think he has used it a fair bit. Texture felt ok when I felt the can lid.

I haven’t used that specific type (Desert Bisque). It should be OK over styrofoam, as long as it is an acrylic paint w/out lacquer thinner or other solvents. Harsh solvents will melt the styrofoam. Let us know what happens with it.

That’s bloody funny!

I will advise of my results with that stuff. I suppose reading the fine print on the label ahead of time would be a good idea…

What is the compressor brand? After years of avoiding airbrushing, I’m finally going to take the plunge. But reviews of compressors and brushes are all over the place.

Was that a general question Travis @Apache26 ? You may need to direct it to the person or be a bit more specific ?

Had a new arrival … At last lol…

This will be getting converted to a tracking/radar control vehicle for the 1/72 A4 Dio group build :+1:
