Nice! I’m after one of these myself.
How is the moulding?
Molding is very good!
There is one big sprue with boat parts, a smaller sprue with figures and a small plate of PE parts, incl. propellers and wing nuts.
The only parts with ejection pin marks on the outside are these 2 in the center
Unlike the initial 2007 edition of the kit (#5604), where there was only one figure, now there are 2:
A standing tall boatman(present also in #5604)
And a seated boatman
Both figures are crisply moulded, with convincing folds and crevaces on their dress and well defined faces.
HTH,
Cheers,
Angel
Thanks, that looks really good.
Hopefully my LHS will have some in soon. I’m after the Miaile too.
I’m building one of the derivatives of that kit right now, I think you’ll really like it. That’s a fine looking paint scheme too.
Happy masking with that splinter camo! I have experienced that a few years ago on my Finnish Army K9 …
Yeah, I’m really looking forward to this one. The scheme is what sold me on it. Been tempted by several of the various versions but just had to have this one, and if I’m daft enough to do Berlin camo, twice in a year, this should be a breeze, just kidding! Now to figure out what colours to use and what manufacturer of paint. Instructions have Matt black, NATO brown, NATO green and Pale Green a.mig-0060, which converts to Tamiya XF5 apparently…
Jim if you plan on building this anytime soon, may I humbly request you join our Centurion build?
Also you’ll need this.
Ha! Had to think about that for a second or ten! Yeah, hopefully it won’t end up looking like a Billy book case!
No idea when I will start it as I have an M1a1 and an m60 I’d like to get onto after the current leopard, however if I do start it within the timeframe it would be an honour to join the campaign thanks.
That’s ones obsolete now due to revised safety regulations. This one clean sheet design uses a new alloy that’s more environmentally friendly that doesn’t harm the cross eyed squirrel community, The Takers of Nuts.
Didn’t that production variant suffer from teething issues? I recall reading that over time they were prone to faliure and required a field upgrade program.
Yes, that’s absolutely correct.
The new hybrid chineseum-unobtaineum alloy required additional 15 minute heat treatment in a consumer grade 1000W microwave followed by a rapid quench in 1% fat milk for maximum tensile strength. Otherwise, manufacturer voided the extended 30 day warranty.
That method has been discontinued due to green gas emissions from the raw materials. Until offset carbon credits are purchased or new technologies are employed there is no product replacement at this time.
It’s all fun and games until you get one of these in the little plastic baggie in that flat carton box
Swedish dark magic…
Speaking of dark magic …
I bought a Tucker Sno-Cat kit from Neomega.
Somehow I managed to make mistake in the ordering process so that Netherlands was selected as destination country, the rest of my Swedish address was correct. Gordon brought the package to the post office addressed as specified in the web-sites shopping cart. After some weeks I asked Gordon about the tracking number. I knew it would take time due to Christmas season, Brexit and random delays.

The Dutch figured out that it should probably go to Sweden and then it got rejected so the Durtch tried again and again and I could only watch the whole fertilizer show develop …
