I knew it was someone significant and guessed it was someone connected to it but I looked it up to make sure. No image search.

Sgt. Curtis “Bud” Culin. In 1944, Curtis Grubb Culin III was 29 and serving in the US Army when he was recommended for a Legion of Merit, awarded for exceptional service.
He devised the “Rhino” hedgerow cutter first used in Normandy campaign.
