This one will be tough, only an hour long campaign…but I’ll give it a shot! LOL!

I will try to build this year what I was going to build last year, that I never managed to start…

Well, this lasts until the end of 2025. I don’t know why I didn’t go back and fix the event timeline, but it doesn’t seem editable any more…

So its still open?

It is open. Perhaps @michaelsatin can fix it. If not, maybe I should start a different thread?

My bad no doubt…

I’m interested.
No fault on your end.

Fixed. I believe.

Gang, with fingers crossed I look forward to more hobby time this year. Of course, I’ve been saying that for more than 2 years, but this time…

…I do!

I will probably start out with something simple, thinking of this (thanks Harv!):

This is what I am chomping at the bit to build:

Last week of February 2025 and no one has "started? Campaign is 1 Jan 25 to 1 Jan 26, right??

Mike

This is what I’ll be building: 1/35 Dragon Schwerer Plattformwagen Typ SSy.

I won’t be using the rail embankment as I plan to, down the road, build a scratch one so that I can display all my railcars. The rails and sleepers will be used for that.

These are just the railcar parts for the campaign build.

However, as you can see, after moving, I’ll need to find out where all my paints and tools got put.

The best laid plans of mice and men.

I have been prepping my room for some modeling. Choosing the models I want to start working on. Then…oh, look, a portrait of me!

Some of you may know we are renovating our kitchen. The cabinets were delivered Friday. Lots of cabinets!! They said they would take up about half of my room. Took up about 90%. But their arrival means the train is building up steam for leaving the yard and the end is in sight. Wish me luck.

Best of luck Koda. All will be fine.

I managed to get a start on the SSy the other day. Basic platform is done.

I still need to sand down the seam line under the frame.

The trucks have been started.

Oh, the seams on the leaf springs! The most time-consuming aspect of this stage. The directions call for the brakes to be installed before the wheels, but without the wheels placed, the brakes have no proper reference for positioning. I assembled two of the wheel/axle parts as a “jig” to determine the proper placement of the brakes and their supports. That’s the next step.

More to follow.

Maybe Pappy Yokum can give you a hand.
