Good deal. His is really nice.
Yes indeed.
Great work
Inspiring me to CAD and 3D print some BBQ set up next to M1A2 SEP V2s. Gotta have the pork beans and grilled sausages. Some reference photos of M1A2 SEP V2s of the D Troop 1-4 CAV at Fort Riley, Kansas. Photo courtesy of: https://www.facebook.com/Tankersofficial
They could fire up the hog, remove the bitch plate and use their own portable grill. Healthier than using the exhaust to cook with.
You cad it, they will buy it. I know I will.
Dang! Handing out pizzas at the range?! We were lucky to get cold chili mac and warm long shelf life milk back in my day
My children enjoying this new 3D print whenever brushing their teeth. https://makerworld.com/en/models/255192#profileId-271566
Pretty intimidating regardless of which way round it goes…
Fender brace or buckle for M4A1 or early E8 Shermans.
STL will be available in 1/16 and 1/35:

Looks like Andy HHQ’s 1/16 M4A3E8 Easy Eight Build Group on FB kicked me out for “advertising” the fender brace I just CADded.
Their loss my friend. Press on
1/35 early M48’s Chrysler Cupola WIP. It’s 90% @HDSC2D Michael K’s work so far. Many thanks to him. I am picking up where he left off. I’ll be CADding the MG cradle. Hoping to finish these in 2-3 weekends.
Impressive work so far by both.
I need these
No, @Dan , those are Urdan cupolas. The Israelis (IDF) originally designed it for their Magach tanks then the US used the cupola on M48A5s.
Nice reference photos though!
I wish M4 Chrysler cupola for early M48s was as readily available as the Urdan cupola - here’s one from DEF: https://ak-interactive.com/product/idf-magach-urdan-cupola-set-for-1-35-idf-m48-m60-kit/ and there are other offerings, as well as existing kit parts in many Magach kits.
So 3D printing comes to rescue.

Here’s an aerial (sort of top) view to tell the difference:

Similar looking but different.
Thanks for the info. Just to be clear, the urdan is only used by the US on the M48A5?
Right. To my knowledge, the US military only used Urdan Cupolas on M48A5s.
Those got passed onto other countries like Greece and S. Korea later.
@gtdeath13 would be a good expert on this.
Also, thanks to Nikos, some reference photos from him to help me CAD the Chrysler cupola:
The Urdan cupola is basically an improvement-redesign of the Chrysler cupola by the IDF. I am pretty sure that as soon as the IDF got their hands on the Chrysler cupolas of the captured Jordanian M48 tanks they studied it and improved some things.
Some photos I took when comparing various cupolas from kits and aftermarket. From let to right:
Chrysler cupola from 3D microcosmos (comes printed as you see in the photo, almost no assembly required), Slinghsot Chrysler cupola (out of production), Def Urdan cupola, Takom Chrysler cupola from their M103 kit and Takom Urdan from their M48 kit
