WWII US truck air brake connectors 1/35 STL files also being uploaded at cults3D:
The Hobby Boss M4 High Speed Tractor kit comes with the generous amount of 1 round to put in the ammunition compartment (one each of an 8 inch (203 mm) and 175mm for whichever version you build). The detail does not look anything like it probably should - so this may be another market you can advertise to:
And now something funny and more practical (?) than 1/35 3D prints.

This is for FDM print in 1:1 scale - 20 cm x 20 cm x 4.5 mm.
Interesting James as I hope by experimenting with the signs we can better understand the limits of 1/35 scale stencils? Seems like things with lettering blur out as some point.
I wanted to share a recent attempt at a Ukraine Spider web type operational dio with the 3D printing. On CULTS3D there is Kamikaze FPV drone 1:35 (First person view) RPG Grenade, FPV Drohne by AG87
My attempt was
Making rafts of 6 little drones at a time takes less than an hour to print. Scaled up the Z direction by 20% to get arms and some propellers. The painting and weathering based on Youtube videos was fun.
Add some supports and formation creations open up interesting possibilities.
1/35 scale PSP controllers and crew staff are next. Thanks for letting me share.
Very cool. Another possibiity - a shadow bow where you’re looking down. (POV of another drone) Halfway down you have a piece of plexiglass running across the shodow box. The drones could rest on that. Some could eveb be elevated slightly on pieces of piano wire. Done correctly they would absolutely look like they were hovering. If the viewport to the shadowbox is smaller the the actual box, you won’t even see the edges of the plexiglass.
Thank you for the idea Rob! Appreciate the comments. I think I have some clear sheets I can try that with. I was also trying to understand how to stack things as the loaded drones don’t just hover, but dash in on an already ID’d target.
Printing out a Sprank Drone (race drone with cam gimbal) from MWILMARS mwilmars for an offset recon spotter. These files are free off CULTS3D.
I wonder how the TOW wire dispenser looks? Need some fishing line I guess
James I was wondering if you have the mortar from the M106 in your library?
If you are just looking for the mortar in a ground mount, Tamiya made it separately with 3 crewmen. It can still be found on eBay and other online sellers.
Yeah, I think I dicked it up and I don’t feel like messing around with it to get it back to useable again.
I have a few of the mortar and crew sprues since they came in Academy’s copy of Tamiya’s M151A2 as well. Send me a PM with what part/s you need. I probably have them.
Sorry resent that as a PM I apologize for almost hijacking the thread.
NP. I don’t have the mortar but may CAD it in the future.
I really want to influence you to do that hard top HUMWV add on. That thing is impossible to find and if you look up Pro Art Models on eBay don’t do it with kids around.
Made a minor improvement to the Tamiya M4 kit sponson covers in 1/35:
Made a version in which the “L” and “R” side indications are debossed (indented) instead of embossed for better FDM 3D printing suitability - 3D print with the letters at the bottom:
So the details on this side will be printable and visible:
As printed:
Your prints look nice and flat. Usually, flat parts are a struggle for resin printers. Apparently you can deal with that.
Thanks, Hans! However, it’s definitely not my skill because those were printed in FDM 3D printer.
Inspired by this photo, another street lamp CAD in 1/35 done:
File as a whole:
Lamp body only:
Globe bulb cover separate file - it’s hollowed out if the modeler wants to 3D print it in a clear resin and put a model lightbulb in it. Plus, easier for painting.
assumption false. But still compliments.
I gave up on FDM parts. In my case there was a lot of post processing required to achieve an acceptable surface finish. Your prints look very smooth indeed.
