IIRC DEF did 2 mantlet covers for the Centurion, one with and one without the machine cover.
Mead, I know what you mean. It is annoying. But it took me 5 minutes to do mine. I’m glad I did now ![]()
For examle, a Jordanian Centurion needs the one with the hole:
And I think this is a Mk7 or at least not a Mk5 or Mk3
Argh
they are both labelled shot kal on most websites. I guess that isn’t DEF’s fault but retailers listing them
To be honest I will be suprised if someone posts a photo of an IDF centurion of anykind of version with the 35059 cover. I did a quick scan through my photos and all of them have the 35058 one.
Yeah I couldn’t find any either… oh well live and learn I guess!
Israel
It’s a map holder.

Looks like there are 2 coax MG.

Thanks. I don’t recall seeing it anywhere else. Probably his very own addition.
Has to be that ![]()
Panzerart wheels. Not the best casting but pretty easy to cleanup. There is a distinct mold line on most of the wheels, some are better some are worse. Photos prior to final sanding and cleanup.
Fitting them on the model is easy, just requires redrilling the holes to the proper diameter (3/32")
Were the wheels in Centurions also as worn as in the Shermans?
Some yes, but you can also see Dalet vehicles with brand new wheels, so I guess the IDF replenished their stock from times to times.
I’ll mix it up ![]()
Hi
Been at work so just come to your post.
I would go with mix and mash good wheels with chunks .
So centurion wheels use to throw chunks when going cross country more then when on the road or hard standing.
Ruling was if you had half the the rubber gone or you could put a ruler between the rubber and wheel change it. Always try put two new ones on same axle.
Most wheels unless bent normally if you stupid and run it on metal rims
Where refurbished with new rubber rims.
Hope it helps
Thanks a lot, it helped as always! Will be a mix ![]()
