Actually when the RMG 50 Cal is fitted, it displaces the 30 Cal from it’s usual position, so 50 Cal in the usual Coax position - far left, then 30 Cal in the new hole - near left, then main armament - centre.

Huh… and now I know. Thanks Mal!
Just a heads up for those building a Gimel version:
On step 29 of the instructions do not add part P58 and add the periscope as on the normal vehicle.
Part P58 should be used on Mk3 based vehicles:
Actually Mead, the pics you posted show DEF labelled both as for ‘Shot’ and not specifically calling out ‘Kal’:

so DEF did incorrectly call out the use of both.
The 35059 cover is also suitable for an Aussie Mk 5
H gtdeath
well spotted .
I had spotted that they also got it right on the Gimel 2.as this is a Mk3 turret wrong on the Dalet kit
I have pictures and seen pictures of a Shot Kal Dalet on a Mk 5 turret with the episcope removed and ground down to allow that plate extra plate to be fitted , but only seen it on the one in Laturn which has a slightly different Gun sight mount.
I have this super Gimel/Dalet kit so I have not mk3 and mk5 turrets and all the extras to build any one of the three. it was a present from the owner of AFV Club (RIP)
so got to decide which way I go with it as I have so many extras for it.

Dalet is the same case
Mk 5 based:

Mk3 based:
I have not quite figured out yet the different ERA tile setup on the hull front. There are two types of tiles but I am still searching on when the IDF used each type and on what hull.
hi Nikos yes agree just AFV club got it wrong .
I have Robert gimel book and does mention both types of front ERA and turret ERA and side ones depending if smoke dischargers were fitted . I will cross this bridge at a later date and i will copy a actual vehicle as I said they all seem to be different
Another detail AFV did not add is the larger armored filler cap next to the driver’s hatch. It should be the same as the cap on the rear right side of the engine deck on Shot Kals.
The third is definitely Kahalani’s vehicle. The crest of the 7th Brigade is clearly visible on the front-left mudguard with no.2 in the middle marking the 77th Battalion (the second of the three within the brigade) which Kahalani commanded during the YKW. The two rings on the barrel also indicate the second battalion. It has three antennas and looks like the right storage bin on the turret is slightly damaged.
The same vehicle from a different angle:

The first and the last are of the same vehicle, from slightly different angles. It has three antennas, indicating a battalion commander vehicle and the right storage bin on the turret appears to be damaged. I can’t see the brigade crest, but it has two rings on the gun barrel indicating the second battalion within a given brigade.
I don’t know about the second one, but it has two rings on the barrel, again indicating the second battalion.
It looks like these photos are either of the same vehicle (Kahalani’s), or perhaps two different ones (Kahalani’s and his deputy’s) belonging to the 77th Battalion.
G17 is the Uzi rack of the loader. Is there one for the commander too? I can’t see it on the instructions.
Thanks, Nikos. It looks like IDF tankers started to store their personal weapons outside the tank based on experience gained during the YKW.
Yeap, there are weapons all over the roofs of vehicles in photos
Do you think it was just Comd tanks that had a map board ?
I actually think only Kahalani’s tank and maybe also his deputy’s had them. All photos of tanks with map holders seem to have two rings on their barrels indicating the second battalion. The 77th, which Kahalani commanded during the YKW, was the second battalion of the 7th Brigade (the first was the 75th, the third the 82nd). These would have one and three barrel rings respectively. But again, I’m making an educated guess here, because I can’t see the brigade crest.
Nice pics - under restoration or in service?

If you mean the bore evacuator parts, they need some work to fit, also check that you have chosen the correct parts and the correct barrel.
Post a photo if you want
