I primed the Jeep in red oxide in an effort to “warm” up the over all colour, and hopefully give some depth. It was then lightly sprayed with Real Colors (the new versions) RAF Middle Stone. This was then over sprayed with RC Light Stone. I went a little too heavy on this coat as it covered almost every layer below it. Oh well. Best of intentions. Pigments (i.e. pastels) are still pending - but that will happen once the model is on the base.
Technically I have finished the model… ( ). As previously stated it is meant for a display base. Again, I should finish. BUT…I’ll leave it to Michael as to whether or not I have fulfilled the criteria to submit the jeep as finished if I am unable to get the base painted by Wed night. Either way, all good.
I have really enjoyed watching everyones submissions come to life. Man, this is an impressive group of builders. Congrats to all.
Thats nice and fast build, great effort and with the figure it came out as a lovely duo.
Well, time to shut this one down. Great work by all! I will be tallying the finished builds and posting a list here in the next day or so.
But never fear! You can still get your IDF fix in the IDF 77 campaign.
Michael
My Merk was completely assembled and primed, but never got around to paint it.
I’ll just finish it and post it outside of this one…
However…
I do have several other IDF kits that i might put in on the IDF 77 Campaign.
OK, here’s my preliminary list of finshers for this campaign. Please let me know if you think I’ve left you out. I’ll submit it to the higher ups for awards in a few days.
