Pleasant with useful
Great job with painting and weathering and the net looks very good
All looking good Bert. You have these flying off the production line now
Thanks John, still a long way to go though
Aces on the vehicles man , I’m still in awe of the netting/garlic thing , beautiful !!
I have to say again that your painting job is really amazing
Thanks guys, and they are covered in a lot more dust than most people like, but the truck is part of a convoy that has been driving through the desert, the tank has been fighting in the desert for a couple of days, and the wreck has been abandoned, also in the desert . So I dont think these vehicles would have been cleaned a lot…
The garlic netting, got some, and I’ll pilfer it from the refer now, HA! All the rigs look great, love the weathering and paint chipping too!
How do you recognise someone who is using those nets for his models?
just sniff his breath…
The diorama should be safe from any vampires…
Next vehicle for this diorama is another Dodge 4x4, basicly the same kit as I used in Christmas holiday build, this time Italeri instead of Bilek, but it is exactly the same kit. And this time with a Legend set that will add some interest to it:
After doing that Maultier I notice the big difference in detailing between that kit and this one, so I added something that must resemble hinges on the tailgate.
Glued it on with styrene dissolved in Tamiya Extra Thin, read about that somewhere so decided to give it a try. Looks horrible now, but once painted I am sure it will be different.
The truck is nearly done:
So it is time to try the Legend extra’s, see how they fit, how it looks, which parts to use and which not:
And I will have to look for a driver, the original driver doesn’t fit into its intended place, so he was banned to the rear compartment, he will be the passenger/gunner.
to be continued…
WOW !! Do you sleep sometimes ??? The Legend set looks delicious …
Nice new addition Bert. That looks like a decent box of stowage from legend. impressive, and nice bits of extra detailing as well.
Thanks guys, this kit is quite small, goes together very fast. And indeed is this a very nice Legend set!
I have to agree, those are some great looking vehicles, and nice weathering!
Ken
Hi Ken, thanks!
