Thank you!
@madtatt, nice setup. Can you share where can others find this acrylic case? Thanks!
We cant do that here . your loyal to one team. Ive been to many different Baseball stadiums and always wore my Yankee hat !
Showing up in the wrong colours on the wrong section of the stadium at a hockey or soccer game in Sweden could also have bad consequences …
Thought this might be of interest for those of you with 3D Printing capabilities.

Thanks . I’ve had him for many years !
I just printed up some of my own semi-modular paint holders for Tamiya bottles. I’ve been rearranging my whole hobby area, and will post photos when I get the chance.
I was looking through some old pictures and found a shot of my work shop circa 1999.
Note orange ash tray……
Same space moments ago….
Very interesting transition. I’m impressed about how organized both pics are. If I did history vs. current, it would just look very messy with different stuff piled all over it. I have a big desk that I designed and built myself, but I only have about 6" square of free work space available on it!
That’s what I used to have before it all disappeared,
I’ll need to bring a shovel in there some day …
what i note is the fire extinguisher. how many of us have one on their bench i’d like to know? i think i have one somewhere but it may have grown feet and walked away.
Joe
I have one hanging on a post maybe 8-10ft away, not necessarily for my bench, but I wanted one on the basement level
Have an extinguisher, ( for electrical )to the right of me, on entering the kitchen, and in the hall I have two different ones for most possibilities.
Fire extinguishers, placement of.
If there is only one single extinguisher in the household it should be located near the place where the adults sleep.
Yes,
I know,
it sounds silly,
what could get so hot in the bedroom that it requires an extinguisher …
The bedroom is not the problem.
When you are awake and something catches fire you can run to the bedroom and fetch the extinguisher. If the cooking catches fire on the stove it would be handy to have the extinguisher in the kitchen …
BUT
many fires start at night.
Where are you at night if you are not awake building models?
Bedroom? Right.
How bright and energetic are you when the fire alarm goes off at 3 in the morning?
If the fire started in the kitchen, the alarm goes off, you fumble your way out of bed, get your feet in the slippers et.c. and start figuring out what the F is going on.
OHH F*** kitchen is burning! Where is the extinguisher? Impossible to reach in the heat and smoke in the kitchen or a few feet from you in the bedroom?
I attended a course as fire evacuation leader at a previous job and the class got the question about the best place for a single extinguisher.
None of us, engineers the whole lot, figured it out.
When the teacher gave us the answer we all went: DUH!!!
Without my hearing aid, I can’t even hear the smoke detector alert- I have to rely on my wife who still has all her hearing, LOL.
The only things I can hear without any aid, are air tools, helicopters, guns and motorcycles, which are some of the things that killed my hearing in the first place…
If she’s out of town I guess I’m just a crispy critter….
Get the alarm connected to something that sounds like a Harley revving up
