Great work everyone… I’m still at the “Picking a kit” stage… I will follow your progress, such fantastic builds so far.

Stephen, from what I remember looking into the rear end of a Mig-23 at Newark aviation museum they are a metallic green but with a pale whitish wear/burnt effect. I did have photos but I fear they went the way of Photobucket.

That would make sense. I’ve got an ash white pigment somewhere that would do the job. That’ll probably be the last thing I do anyway as I’ll have to put something up the exhaust to stop over spray.
Cheers.

Primed most of the build yesterday, but ran out of black primer spray last night - gonna have to go get two more spray cans on Sunday. Added some PE details i neglected earlier in the build process. I should be ready for painting soon.

And since i was on the workbench priming and stuff. I took a random Tamiya figure i had on my spareds box and decided to paint it, to see how better (or worse) I’ve gotten with painting figures…

Not my best work ever… But I’ve done worst. This one will end up on one of my Tigers.

I started these kits today… I hope at least one of them fits the bill…

You started all three? Any one of them should be fine.

Here is my entry for the group build. The Trumpter ASU-85 in 1/35. Not pictured is the Accurate Armour mantlet cover for this kit, I need to find it and any other aftermarket I might have.

I had time to kill, my tool… so why not…

Progress on the Su-15,

on the Mig-21,

and the Yak,

but since they all fit , I’ll go with the Su-15 and I’ll put the other two into separate BuildLogs

Dobri Den together! May I join the fray with a russian B-4 203 mm Howitzer, made by the russian company Zvezda together with turned barrel from the russian company Magic Models?

I also recently got the brandnew and excellently posed gun crew (22 figures)

and some extra ammunition parts from Live Resin.

I´ve been waiting exitedly for these figures since last Dezember and I can not hold back now to make a diorama out of everything. This project will consume quite an amount of time but I am eager to make something great out of it. The plan is to recreate a fire position for preparatory fire in front of the Seelow heights in April 1945.

Пое́хали!

Wow… that’s quite a haul of figures… just noticed them at scalemates this morning, and you have them already. Superb.

This is gonna be great to follow ! I can’t miss this one.

That must have cost you an arm and a leg!
Awesome set, though!

For sure it did Erwin… I did pay a bit over 400 € for this + three modern russian tank crews and a metal landing gear for an airplane. I don´t drink and I don´t smoke and I work hard so sometime it is allowed to spend some money for your hobby :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I agree with the above stated sentiment. I am the same - Don’t smoke, seldom drink; work my knuckles to the bone, so I have to spend my hard-earned money on the hobby… Well, one of them, I also have a healthy interest in firearms, my Mopar and the occasional video game here and there, just to keep things interesting.

Oh, this is no criticism at all and I don’t begrudge you having them.
I am happy for you…
I am just awed. And am curious how they will turn out.
