Sorry; when I get on “In The Slot”, I can’t stop.
After checking my stash my entry is Trumpeter’s BMP-1 kit in 1/35 scale. My target is to build an (ex?) IFV from the Hungarian Defence Forces.
I have some aftermarket goodies also in the box, so it will be a long way but hope a nice result.
More pictures as the build is going on.

Hi Angel,
Nice to meet you again. A very interesting subject in this campaign.
Tamas
One set of tracks completed. 91 links per side.
Nice sag to it. These were very easy in comparison to other track sets I’ve worked with.
@SableLiger Your tracks contain as many parts as my entire tank!
So far the build is without much hickups. Just a few ejectormarks in really awkward places. And the plastic is soft, it frays when sanded.
And the figure I want to use.
Hi mates,
I intended to take part with a MiG-29 SMT
But now, after reading the explanations, I think it came after 1991 and so it doesn’t qualify? Am I right?
Cheers Peter

Working on the fenders right now. I am impressed with the level of detail Ryefield did with the fuel lines. That’s why i enjoy Ryefield Models more and more. The little details - not like AFV Club, which (IMHO) is a bit too heavy on the small details.
I’ll post the fenders once I am done.
Yeah, it looks like a post Soviet version…
You could go with Trumpeter’s MiG-29A.
the “Product 9.12” was produced in the 1980s and fielded by the USSR; the “Product 9.12A” was a downgraded variant for export to Warsaw Pact Nations, while the “Product 9.12B” was for export to non-Warsaw Pact nations, like India, Iraq, Syria, North Korea, Cuba, Malaysia, Myanmar and Eritrea.
Thanks for your good advice
Maybe a Malaysian bird then, because I have the right decals anyway. But a MiG-21 MF or the MiG-23 BN for Indian AF are also in my stash…
I’ll let you know soon.
Cheers
Peter
Not bad, even has the pipes to the fuel tanks, most kits are missing them.
Hi Frank, I have built Takom kits of T-55 variants as well as a Miniart T-55 and all of them had those pipes. It is a must to be present on a T-55 model kit manufactured these days. I would not buy a kit w/o them.
Nice clean build, congrats!
Haven’t had either of them kits, thanks for the heads up.
Don’t know how I missed this campaign. Just started this yesterday. Is it too far along to join?
RFM T80U.
Yeah. And yours goes in nicely. Since the T-80U was in use in 1985.
welcome!
