I finally got base paint down on my VK 1602 Leopard. Fingers crossed, camo tomorrow.
It won’t be weathered by the end date, but it will be built and painted!

You may be surprised, but over the last couple of days I’ve managed to turn out a little three-legged something… It’s to minimal wargames standard, three colours on the model and a painted base, but it is in a state where it can be upgraded sometime in the (near?) future. Photos and a write up will have to wait until tomorrow, though, I’m knackered.

Aloha Gerrit, it is an interesting craft. Some sort of space bomber as near as I can tell. The kit is pretty straightforward although the decals are not the best.

I’m using a ‘Montana Acrylic Empty Paint Marker’ filled with Vallejo Aged White (71.132). I still need to go back over and do a lot of touch-up… with a brush as well.
More of this stuff tomorrow.

Looking good, Mike!
The Suisei has advanced, but it won’t make the deadline. I’ve gotten the satin coat on after the decals, but still need to do the panel lining and then add the glass bits. That’s not going to happen before the end of tonight.
Had a bit of struggle with some of the decals. A bit of silvering and one that locked down and would not adjust, even tearing a bit in the attempt.

Nice work guys.
Well the Leopard has paint and decals, so is technically it is done enough to declare complete for the build and within deadline.
We have rain and high humidity forecast for days here, and that plays havoc with flat coats, so this is where it will sit for a while…
I will still apply a flat coat and weathering down the track.
