Sci-Fi and Alternative History XII

Very weird idea but looks really impressive to me. I follow your progress with big interest.

The gunner looks OK to me on the photos, Keep up with the good work,

I cannot recall right now, what camo/pattern you planned (if shared already). WWII RLM or something sci-fi space grey?

Actually that sounds a great option to me!

That will be part of my Richthofen Design collection, and so it will be RED and WHITE

It’s a bit weird having an open gunners position on a jet, they were ceasing to be viable on the faster prop jobs even before the 262 came along… Given the Me P1099 was just a re-bodied 262, you could substitute remote weapon barbettes and have the gunner under a clear dome with his sighting equipment.

M

Thank you :+1:

But that is not funny :hammer_and_pick:. I want to make the obscure crossover from WW.1 open cockpit with jet engines.

What a thrilling gun position!

Fonz: “When you ride, don’t smile.”

Richie: “Why, isn’t it cool?”

Fonz: “No - you get bugs in your teeth…”

Next step. And waiting again.
Oh, the gunner station can be finished, that will be placed in the fuselage at the very end.

… and i want to join with another kitbashing science fiction plane, based on the ORNITHOPTER from the last Dune movie.
Main parts coming from this kit.

This will be another interesting subject, too.

Gerrit, you are on fire! That are some wild and very cool projects!

It is great to follow them. :slightly_smiling_face:

It is a easy thing for me, because everything i have build since my “restart” three years ago would fit here perfect .

I can’t do standard scale modells

I did the Frankenstein job at the gunner figure, lift one arm up.

And made a main landing gear.

No one building here ?

So i want to continue with the ORNITHOPTER project.

I am wondering, because there are no custom builds about this thing are to find in the online world, only some standards like that movie Design.

This ornithoper is the "4981 Potez mk.3 version, working with 5 biometric wing pairs in a main and front station.

Building the fuselage is a great adventure, some of the windows must be glued in from the start and the shape of the left and right side is also a interesting task. One of the jobs where 4 hands are needed…:hammer_and_pick:

Does this qualify too??

Got a bunch of old kits, when my son moved out last friday.

I started with deconstructing the Panther and I had some MacDonalds toy, waiting for just this occassion. Guess what it’ll become…

I have fixed the middle wings on the 626 Triplane. The little space between is difficult to paint later, so i did a small paint job too.

Ron, I have no idea what that is going to end up as??:sweat_smile:

Gerrit, that looks very good! Very Richthofen style.

Thank you :+1:, i also don’t know what a surprise Ron will build , no idea.

My build is simple to explain.

I build a extra housing from sheet at the top of the ORNITHOPTER to place the 3 main wings there, added a air intake and propper exhaust

My guess: a blue Smurf Space Station

OMG :scream: .

But we should be open for any unusual idea :+1:.

Working on the original engines of the Potez Kit, they will be used for the main landing gear . My shipyard is very usefull for the job, they get a new position at the fuselage.

It is not the real entry for this campaign. Just messing around, having some fun.
