Fuselage is together now … Took a while as I had to balance the wings and then it all connected.
First time I tried I hadn’t realised that when I joined the upper to lower, I knocked a wing and one was swept back the other was fully out. I then just noticed luckily before the glue had set, so didn’t need to much clean up.
It’s nice the wings are movable on this one, and have a nice smooth operation…
Dry fitted the nose section and its a great fit pretty sure no putty Willbe required.
And does the Pak remain stable when the wings are swept back?
Yeap, it is all really smooth going from swept to full…I mean I’m not going to be playing with it, but I suppose it’s nice to know they can be moved if I ever wanted to …
You also get a choice of 2 nose wheel struts extended or compressed for ready to launch

Hey folks, quick update: my F-16AM has been painted with an initial coat of Tamiya XF-2 flat black. She will receive her coat of gray soon.
If where your buy one in 1/48, you know where and the Tamiya kit would be the way to go, imho.

Just signed up. Not sure which I’ll build, but I’ve got multiples of every teen fighter in 1/72 and of a couple in 1/48, so it’s just a matter of necking it down…

Nice. Looks like a decent amount of Instrument panel detailing on that one.
Another quick update: decals on the topside of the plane are down. Just need to do the bottom. Sorry for the shoddy camera work, I’ll take better photos down the line
Looking good @kunjuro. What method did you use for the panel shading? It’s subtle and convincing.
Thanks @Spitfire. I realize that I skipped a photo when I posted on the thread. I primed the model black, then squiggled on some white paint, trying to put it a bit heavier in some center of panels but still keeping it relatively random. Then I applied a post-shade of black on the panel lines - keeping the thing a bit random still. Then, I finally laid out a topcoat of medium sea gray (XF-83 (10 parts) + X-2 (1 part)) over it all, trying to keep the underlying chaos of preshading just barely visible
