Interesting choice, look forward to seeing it built. I have built a 76 hull or two in the past.

RFM, doing the 1-13 scheme.

Just started to look but does anyone have a photo of the real tank?

What unit is it?

RFM says 63rd Guards.

Yep, I have seen some photos for 1-20, 1-23, 1-24 and 1-25. Hoping to clear up some details on 1-13.

My submission. The Academy 1/35 T-34/85 Berlin 1945 with bedspring armour. I have the Tetra Model Works PE set for this as well so fenders, gun barrel, tool clasps etc. Definitely a bit different from your regular T-34/85’s.

My build-RFMs T-34/D30 and I plan on using a hull image image interior from AFV Club’s T34.

Look forward to seeing this one, it’s on my short list of kits. I have the Academy and Airfix standard 85’s.

Nice upgrade. I want to use the kit instructions to scratch something close.

so the T-34 D30 box cracked open and started. As the turret isn’t there, and there is a large hole, I decided some sort of basic interior needed to be done. Started with the engine bulkhead. Used primeportal, track-links and a miniart T-34 build to try to work out how it should look

@Dan what do you reckon will the floor will look like on this - like a normal T-34 (ammo boxes?) or lower? Can’t really tell on PrimePortal but does look lower

Miniart just announced this one, for the middle east fans who want to participate in this campaign

That’s a good question which I have not thought about.
There is no need for ammo boxes on the floor but they could also be used as storage, etc?
Have to do some googling.
Just realized that I used the AFV firewall in my current /85 build and was not needed in hindsight.

ok, looking at primeportal:

http://data6.primeportal.net/tanks/anon_idf/t-34_122_sph/images/t-34_122_sph_020_of_120.jpg

if I look beyond the seats there is the left hand side - there seems to be the remains of a frame that comes up from the floor - so there is something on the side wall that doesn’t go to the floor and what looks like a support for something horizontal

and from this one of the rear bulk head

http://data6.primeportal.net/tanks/anon_idf/t-34_122_sph/images/t-34_122_sph_074_of_120.jpg

there would be a level floor raised off the floor (logical if you think control rods/cables would run from drivers station through to the engine and you wouldn’t want to get tangled in them

I think you’re right. I can’t see them reinventing the wheel here.

Seeing as the T34/85 has always been my favorite tank, how can I not be in!
Honestly been eyeing this proposal for weeks ever since seeing it. Just too busy and such to fully commit to a campaign. OH WELL

I easily must have at least a 1/2 doz of these beasts if not more, naturally in all the scales. But we’re talking almost 20yrs ago and I haven’t checked the stash in close to prob the same time frame.
Tempted to finally build the Trumpeter 1/16 scale '44 model (Factory 183). I had started a diorama with the 1/25 offering, but a Tamiya re-pop made by Toy Biz I think.

Been a great read so far. I feel your pain Robert about losing parts so easily, if not so quickly. :anguished:
Being a year in duration, this is def going to be a lot of fun!

Cheers

more progress on the interior ot the T-34 D30
no evidence that the floor was like that but decided they would have it raised to allow control cables/rods to run without interfering with the crew
Also started on the front- assume they are some sort of fire extinguisher. Next up, seats and VERY rough control levers
