Tiger Battalion

If you pull the track down onto the top sprocket teeth I think you can then run the track along the top of the roadwheels to get the correct fit. The tracks should be above the set of wheels behind the sprocket but on top of all the others:

Thank you for your response. I will look into the fit of the track on the sprocket…

Hello everyone…I will be joining the campaign with this kit…

adding some metal tracks…

and these aftermarket decals…

to represent the Tiger in this famous photo…

The 505th Heavy Tank Battalion representative in the kit, 313, should actually be a mid Tiger…so Takom messed up the decals.

My new girlfriend got this kit for me for my birthday last month…a girl not chased away by a 54 year old guy who builds tank and sci-fi models…she most likely will be a keeper!

Was putting primer down on some projects but ran out before I got to my Tiger. Going into the Atlanta area to HobbyTown USA tomorrow to get more but in the meantime I started another Tiger:

Going with the ‘final’ option on this kit; no special reason.

You are done already?..Grumble… Still working on two other campaigns and haven’t opened the box top yet on mine. :unamused:

lol, I tend to work on one model at a time so I finish a bit quicker. If I tried multiple campaigns/models I would be in the same boat

Progress update: Build finished, bag of bits for wheels/MG/exhausts, first attempt diorama planned out (I wanted to go for a staging area-esque scene). Let the painting commence!

My Takom Mid has been hit with primer and is in the garage work area curing. In the meantime, I have cut all the parts for the Dragon late version and they just need to be checked and cleaned up so the assembly can commence.

Aaaaaaannnnnndddddd while I was doing that and other things I got the first 8 steps of the RFM Initial cut apart.

I mean, might as well let all the cats out of the bag, right?

Does this make you our resident “Crazy Cat Lad… (y)”!)

I am amazed at how you remove so many parts before use. I’d likely knock a couple over and get everything mixed up!

I’m amazed at how he gets them all in the right place without part numbers!
