I think you are right. Thanks for the heads up.

Excellent Ron!! The recon bike and open stowage bin are very nice details you’ve added the Tiger. Likewise, hatches open with crew really sets the scene! Good looking Tiger project!
It’s always great to complete a kit and three times better if it’s a kit the build process stalled midway.
Great work Ron. The figures add a nice touch to the scene.
Just one thing that you may want to do. The periscopes in the hatches should be black:
I am calling this one done. Only being in Normandy for a few months, the tanks paint will be in good shape. That time of the year is fairly dry so there will not be much mud.
I am calling it done before I accidently wreck it. I plan on weathering it with techniques I haven’t tried before and you know how those things can go wrong. After I weather it I will add the antenna and tow cables. I primed this kit with Tamiya primer but the paint has chipped off the primer several times, Who would have thought that?
If it works out well, I will toss in the weathered photo for an after the fact thing.
Finished up nice Greg. A nice gentle weathering and its good to go …
Going to try some oils, something new for me.
Greg that’s a sweet looking Cromwell! Very nice tight build.
Very nice recovery Greg. You have done a great job on her. The missing fender is a nice touch, I expect that hedgerow removal would end up taking out more than the flora.
Love to see how your venture into oils add to the build.
Ha! Me too.
I had this lying around for some years now. Time to finish it and get some paint on.
Going to build it in Wehrmacht 1946 “what if” scheme.

That is interesting. A resin moulding?
Really nice looking build, go steady with the weathering, I’m sure you’ll do it justice.
Watto.
Sorry for the late answer. Yes, it is a resin molding from Archon Games if I recall correctly. I believe they have now made the same kit in hard plastic.
A bit of color is on - next some camouflage decals.

Strong 40K-vibes there!
Yes, also very strong Dust Tactics vibes! Given it a gloss coat and will go a bit crazy with decal camouflage. ![]()
Man, I wish I had found this GB earlier. I’m busy clearing out my Shelf of Shame and already completed 3 of my stalled builds. I’ll probably join in with a Marder 3 that has been stalled for almost 6 years now. Will post its current status once I get home in the evening to see if it’s acceptable.
Cheers ![]()
This is my entry. It’s a Tamiya 1/35 Leopard 1A4. I don’t remember if I started this for a campaign or not. Essentially, I got to the point of putting decals on but screwed up the license plate on the rear. The decal got twisted up and folded over. So I removed the front one that I’d already done, but it wouldn’t come off easily and the paint underneath got damaged. At that point I stopped all work on it and put it on the shelf.
Here are pictures from January 1, 2006.

I applied the decals on the front today.

Yet to come, the decals on the rear of the hull, adding the left headlight group and rearview mirrors. Then comes the turret decals and the loader’s MG, and maybe antennas. Oh, and maybe a clear coat with the last of my Dullcote.
That is a classic!
Loved that kit.
