What do I need to build this white background

Those 2 pics are Matt_R’s work. very nicely done. (original post - New Here)

I have a question. Like title says, What do I need to build clean white background?

Is it expensive? or is it hard to make?

There are various ways but i have just used a large roll of white card with a cobbled together pvc frame to do my photos, or blue depending on what i was photographing.

It should curve down rather than fold so you don’t see a crease, and if you can point a light directly at the back drop that will eliminate background shadows.

A basic photo light box are not expensive.

Suggestion, why not ask Matt how he does it ?

good point. Actually, I wanted to know other person’s idea. And then I’ll talk to him.

If you can isolate the model enough to where you have white just around its perimeter, you don’t need fancy set ups. Just let technology work for you. Obviously if this locomotive were sitting on a white base the outline would be even crisper.

I’m writing a how-to post, and will link it here

Not hard and not expensive.. if I can do it and afford it, anyone can!

Thank you for your kind words, my friend!

Depending on the size you need, if you want an actual light box for photography, there are cheap options, like the FRCOLOR1 Set Folding Light Box from Walmart.com for $8, about 9.5”x9”x8.5”; they have a variety of others with different sizes, features, and costs.
