The Fahrpanzer comes with two armament options: 3.7 and 5.7 cm, of which I will use the 5.7 cm barrel when building my Dome Gun Gruson.
Thanks Peter!
Not exactly a battery(I have only 2 leFH 18 kits in my stash), but I found a Bulgarian leFH 18 limber in a military unit museum and I intend to build at least one horse drawn howitzer:
Under £70 inc shipping. If anyone has made this could they please tell me if the supplied tyres are any good? They look OK to me and I am reluctant to spend another £60 on resin ones unless I have to.
Scored off of eBay. Paid $16 for the M and $24.50 for the H pretty happy to get both for $40. I had my eye on the M for a while and the same seller had the H with only a couple bids so I took a shot to combine shipping.
Both look fantastic. I recently finished the Tristar flak panzer Ia and was impressed. The molding in the H looks even better! Lots of PE in the H and a metal barrel in the M!
Okay, okay, not technically a model kit, but the bloody chemo makes my hands shake too much for much else. Even this is pushing it. Still, Armoured vehicle, right?
I have two no name airbrushes that really aren’t all the bad. It’s how I learned to use a double action brush. I have a Harder & Steenbeck now but still use the others, especially if I’m doing a large coverage job. They just seem better at it, probably got a larger needle.
I used it last night. The instructions are dreadful but after a little trial and error, it worked just fine for some pre shading with thinned Tamiya XF59. It’s a double action with a 3.5mm needle so it’s not gonna be for big jobs.
The on board compressor thing is quiet but it does get pretty warm after 10 minutes or so.
The unusual part is there is always air coming from the cone of the airbrush when the compressor is running.
I thought it was defective until I put a little paint in the cup… it only sprays paint with the trigger pulled, and you can control it like any other double action air brush.
The compressor battery is recharged via a USB port. I used it for 20 minutes or so and even though I had no idea what the charge level was, it was completely recharged in 45 minutes.
I think for 43 bucks it’s a winner. I held my nose and ordered it from the worst online monopoly.
Time will tell.
