I’m going to need to get some of that soon. Where did you order?
Cool. Thanks for the reminder. Just ordered some. The Bass Pro Shops website informed me that it is 29 miles to my local Cabela’s Outdoor Store. At $3.49 a gallon it was cheaper to ship it for $5.00 than to feed my V6 there and back!
Yes but you can then stock up on other gear you might miss in an online catalog browsing.
I got some very basic walk around pics of one in a motor pool I can get them up here if you would like to see one in the wild. it seemed pretty basic NATO green and a tan turret.
From Amazon. I’ve updated my original post to include the links. HTH.

Well, I was my own postman today, attending KMK Scaleworld 2023 in Mol, Belgium today. After a lot of postmen lately I kept my hand on the wallet
Seems like you had a nice day✌
That would be great! Thanks for the offer!
I hope these look good but here are some JLTV walk around. Not super detailed but a good view of how they are being issued.
Unfortunately, it appears that all three kits (ILK, RFM, Sabre) have modelled the “pre-production” or perhaps “early” version that was used for initial unit trials. The rear doors, as seen in the photos you posted, now have much larger windows than the initial small windows seen in the three kits. Love to see someone 3D print new window frames that would just need some clear sheet for the glass and cutting a larger opening in the kit(s) doors. Although not too hard to scratchbuild either.
On my bucketlist. Do you know about the accident at Riewendsee in 1965?
I saw an impressive documentary a couple of years ago.
Unfortunately in german:
There is also a short story about it on the Tanks encyclopedia
I bet they are thankful for that escape hatch. That is a thing from my nightmares.
At the risk of being a pedantic bastard - and I do have form - going by the tracks I think the second pic shows a T-80. (not trying to be a smart-arse by any means, just that I tackled the tracks on my ancient Dragon T-80 recently and recognised them - or at least think I do).
Bottoms up, according to Trumpeter PT-76 kits
and Trumpeters T-80 lower hull
Well spotted!
PT-76 tracks (Trumpeter, indy-link for us masochists)
Erm…yeah, I didn’t really mean that the tank upside down in the lake was a PT-76, just that it was another amphibious Russian tank…
Sorry Mate - I’ve got you; me and my pedantry yet again(!)
Better yet just 3D print new rear doors with the bigger window as a drop-in replacement.
The only issue I see with printing a whole new door is that you would probably have to do a specific set for each kit, since I expect each kit’s door is slightly different. Printing just the windows would probably allow them to be used on any kit.
That’s an ambiguous statement,
being in water does not an amphibian make,
being under water does not a submarine make,
failing a backflip does not a gymnast make.
Failing a backflip and ending up under water seems to make a Russian tank though …
