What the postman brought today (Armorama)

There’s a good book on the AMX 30 by Haynes (’ the owners manual ’ series.About £15-£20 here in UK.) I have the Meng AMX 30 but a different version, very nice kit to build.

Arrived the other day.

And the fascine set to go with it

I gotta ask: how are those fascines size-wise, compared to plastic coffee stir straws?

I saw your order packed the other day! Good to see that you got it. The AMX-30 always catches my eye.

Andy’s is always top notch! Stupid me should have waited a week for thier July 4th deal, but that’s one me!

It’s a pretty neat looking vehicle! Only had one French vehicle in the AMX 30 AuF1 (actually also from Andy!) so I had to add another

They are plastic straws, you chop down to size. They have Missed the netting on the sides.

Been a long time since I posted here.
Treated myself this week to the Little Willie kit produced for the Bovington Tank Museum. Had been thinking about it for a while and when I saw they were down to the last couple in stock, plus a 10% off code for joining the mailing list, I thought why not? Treat yourself.

I have to agree with most online reviews I’ve seen, including here, that they really should have printed the whole thing in resin (although that probably would have increased the production cost) as it’s easier to sand than PLA. Print lines should disappear under a couple of coats of primer, we’ll see though. And it would have been nice to have the rear wheels. Although, I think they were deemed useless in trials and removed from what I remember reading a long time ago.

But, it should be a fun build. Some I’ve seen built do look fantastic.

To supplement my Iltis kit, I bought my Tankograd Iltis brochure and DEF Model Iltis resin tires.

I had this DVD set arrive. I went and watched the original at the theater when it was released in 1980. I am looking forward to watching the added 40+ minutes of footage that was removed from the original release.

It’s not a masterpiece, I think, but a good movie nevertheless.

I guess you have a different opinion than some.

Ok was thinking about the AFV Club Churchill Mk.VII as I plan on a Korean War build but found the the Churchill’s deployed were all Crocodiles minus fuel trailers but still had all the flame gear fitted which is not in the AFV Club kit so hunted down the old Tamiya kit.

Couldn’t let it travel alone

Another modern addition to the pile. Saw the footage from Tankfest with the green and black camo barracuda fitted, very cool. Will probably attempt an Op-Telic build, but without barracuda as don’t think that’s within my skill set!

Also have that mk3 baz kit @idfpaul , how are the tracks in yours, seem to remember mine are not great?
